Temperature Standards Inside Container Houses
There is no unified and fixed temperature standard inside container houses, and their temperature ranges are influenced by multiple factors.

I. Applicable Temperature Range for Container Mobile Homes The applicable temperature range for container mobile homes is typically between -40 and 60℃. At a low temperature of around -40℃, their structures and materials can maintain good strength and stability, and their insulation properties can slow down the loss of internal heat, ensuring that the houses will not be damaged due to structural issues in extremely cold environments. When the high temperature reaches 60℃, the material of the container itself can withstand a certain amount of heat, but the internal living environment will become hot. At this time, a good ventilation system can help reduce the temperature and improve the living experience.
II. Measured Conditions of Container Houses with Different Thicknesses of Insulated Wall Panels at Different Temperatures
- Mild Cold Range of 0℃ to 5℃: For a 50mm wall panel container, the temperature difference between the interior and exterior is approximately 5℃ to 10℃. After closing the doors and windows, the indoor temperature can be maintained at 5℃ to 10℃. For a 75mm wall panel container, the temperature difference between the interior and exterior increases to about 10℃ to 13℃, with the temperature stabilizing at 10℃ to 13℃. A 150mm wall panel container can maintain the indoor temperature above 15℃, with significantly better insulation performance than the previous two.
- Severe Cold Range of -5℃ to -10℃: For a 50mm wall panel container, the temperature difference between the interior and exterior shrinks to about 8℃, and the indoor temperature can only be maintained at 0℃ to -2℃, resulting in poor living comfort. For a 75mm wall panel container, with relevant measures, the indoor temperature can be stabilized at 8℃ to 12℃. After installing a small air conditioner or underfloor heating, the temperature can reach 18℃. For a 150mm wall panel container, even without additional heating, the indoor temperature can still be kept above 12℃. After turning on the heating equipment, the indoor temperature can easily rise to 20℃ to 22℃.
- Extreme Cold Range of -20℃ to -30℃: A 50mm wall panel container is completely unsuitable for living and can only be used as temporary storage space with proper anti-freezing measures. A 75mm wall panel container relies on high-power underfloor heating (with a power of not less than 80W/㎡) and full-house sealing renovation to maintain the indoor temperature above 10℃. A 150mm wall panel container, equipped with an underfloor heating system and a fresh air and moisture control device, can maintain the indoor temperature at 18℃ to 20℃.
III. Factors Affecting the Temperature Inside Ordinary Containers The temperature inside ordinary containers is also affected by factors such as the external environmental temperature, insulation measures, cargo characteristics, and ventilation conditions. Generally, it does not exceed 70℃, and the highest temperature may exceed 50℃. With proper handling, a constant temperature of around 30℃ is quite normal.
