Taizhou Container House Transportation

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Taizhou's container house transportation has formed a relatively complete industrial and logistics system, covering production, transportation, policy support, and multimodal transportation modes. The following is an analysis from four aspects: industrial foundation, transportation modes, policy support, and typical cases.

I. Industrial Foundation: Significant Growth in Modular Housing Exports
Relying on its mature full industrial chain advantages in mold, building materials, and hardware, Taizhou has promoted the upgrade of container houses from simple box processing to complete sets of high-end residential units. A container manufacturing company in Zhejiang produces products with wind and rain resistance, heat and sound insulation properties, which can be erected in 1-2 days and are suitable for overseas construction site dormitories, temporary resettlement housing, and family support housing. In 2024, the company's overseas sales increased by about 20%, with products exported to more than a dozen countries and regions in Europe and Southeast Asia, and customer repurchase rates steadily increasing. In addition, enterprises such as Taizhou Jianglian Wood Structure Co., Ltd. also provide customized container wooden houses for scenic area homestays and leisure farms, priced at about 1,200 yuan per unit, meeting diverse market demands.

II. Transportation Modes: Synergistic Development of Waterway, Road, and Multimodal Transportation

  1. Waterway Transportation: Taizhou Port has expanded its container volume through the strategy of shifting from road to water transportation. In 2024, its container throughput reached 772,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 12.64%, with 135,000 TEUs completed through the shift from road to water. Enterprises in the Jiaojiang, Huangyan, and Luqiao districts accounted for more than 50%, while enterprises in Yuhuan and Wenling chose nearby ports for loading, offering significant transportation cost advantages.
  2. Road Transportation: Enterprises such as Taizhou Xulong International Logistics Center and Shenzhen Anchuan Logistics Co., Ltd. provide整车配货 (vehicle matching and cargo distribution) and container transportation services, covering the entire Taizhou area and surrounding regions. Wenling Haitong Container Transportation Co., Ltd., as an AAAA-level logistics enterprise, has more than 300 employees and an annual revenue exceeding 200 million yuan, with business covering general cargo transportation, refrigerated transportation, and frozen seafood sales.
  3. Multimodal Transportation: Taizhou Port Group has opened a sea-rail intermodal train service from Shangrao Station to Taizhou Toumen Port Station, achieving 'one declaration, one inspection, and one release', reducing costs for new energy product exports by about 10%. For example, in May 2025, the first batch of 50 40-foot container photovoltaic panels was shipped to Saudi Arabia via sea-rail intermodal transportation, marking the substantive operation of the 'land port + bonded port + seaport' three-port linkage mode.

III. Policy Support: Incentive Measures to Promote Waterway Transportation Development
Taizhou City once issued the 'Incentive Measures for Promoting Container Waterway Transportation', which reduced logistics costs and supported 'Taizhou goods, Taizhou exports' through measures such as route development incentives, inner branch line flight frequency incentives, container volume growth incentives, and infrastructure investment incentives. Although this policy was abolished in 2024, its significant role in promoting Taizhou Port's goal of becoming a '100 million-ton port and million-container port' provided a practical basis for subsequent policy optimization.

IV. Emergency Transportation: Outstanding Rapid Allocation Capability for Anti-epidemic Supplies
During the anti-epidemic efforts in Shaoxing in 2021, seven construction enterprises in Taizhou produced 400 container board houses within 48 hours and completed uninterrupted transportation through multi-party coordination of vehicles. For example, Xingyuan Mobile Board House Co., Ltd. completed the loading and transportation of three container board houses within 12 hours, and the driver Chen Lidou voluntarily took two trips to Shaoxing, demonstrating the efficient response capability of Taizhou's logistics system in emergency tasks.
