Symposium Adds Mobile Toilets

Admin 11 de octubre de 2026

There were indeed discussions and initiatives regarding the addition of mobile toilets at the symposium.

In Chongqing, after investigating the issue of bus drivers having difficulty finding restrooms, Zhang Xuan, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, proposed a series of targeted suggestions. Among them, expanding bus dispatch rooms and adding restrooms and toilet stalls near bus stops according to local conditions is an important measure that can alleviate the restroom difficulties faced by bus drivers to a certain extent. At the same time, Zhang Xuan also mentioned the suggestion of building new fixed or supporting mobile toilets outside the service areas of public restrooms. This suggestion is forward-looking and practical. The areas outside the service areas of public restrooms are often places where restroom needs are easily overlooked. Building new fixed restrooms may be restricted by factors such as space and funding, while supporting mobile toilets have advantages such as high flexibility, short construction periods, and relatively low costs, enabling them to quickly meet restroom needs in these areas.

In addition, the "Public Opinion Face-to-Face" consultation activity carried out by the Yongchuan District Political Consultative Conference also focused on the issue of public restrooms. In response to the scarcity of public restrooms along the urban section of the Linjiang River, a consensus was reached through consultation to build a batch of prefabricated mobile toilets. Prefabricated mobile toilets have characteristics such as strong mobility, easy installation, and environmental protection and energy conservation. They can be quickly deployed in areas with high pedestrian traffic such as along the river according to actual needs, effectively solving the restroom problems of local residents and tourists and improving the city's environmental sanitation level and public service quality.

These discussions and initiatives regarding the addition of mobile toilets proposed at the symposium fully reflect the importance attached by relevant departments to people's livelihood issues. Through reasonable planning and layout of mobile toilets, the restroom needs of the public can be better met, and the city's infrastructure and public service conditions can be improved.
