Standard Container House Design
Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026
The design of standard container houses needs to balance structural safety, functional adaptability, and cost-effectiveness. The core design points are as follows:

1. Structural Safety Design
- Frame Material and Connection Method: Prioritize the use of all-steel structural frames, such as hot-dip galvanized square steel (with specifications ≥ 80×80mm), ensuring that the weld strength meets the GB/T 19001-2016 standard. Welded integral container bodies have better deformation resistance than bolt-connected ones and are suitable for frequent lifting scenarios. For example, the packing containers from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. have a wind resistance rating of up to Level 12 and an earthquake resistance intensity of Level 8, with a frame deformation rate of only 0.18%.
- Wind and Earthquake Resistance Performance: In coastal or high-intensity earthquake areas, they need to meet the standards of withstanding Level 12 winds and Level 8 earthquakes, with a frame deformation rate below 0.3%. Non-standard off-brand products may have a wind resistance capacity of only Level 8 due to thin steel (e.g., ≤ 1.5mm) or poor connection processes, posing safety risks.
- Anti-corrosion Treatment: Adopt hot-dip galvanized coatings, which extend the anti-corrosion lifespan by 3-5 times compared to cold-dip galvanized ones, especially suitable for areas with large diurnal temperature differences and high humidity.
2. Functional Adaptability Design
- Modular Combination: Choose single or multiple container combinations according to scenario requirements. For example, 20-foot/40-foot standard containers are suitable for independent office units; expandable containers can increase the usable area by 30%-50% through side or end expansion compartments, meeting the needs of long-term on-site office operations.
- Spatial Layout Flexibility: Support the removal or movement of internal non-load-bearing walls to adapt to dynamic scenarios such as engineering camps and commercial pop-up stores. For example, the quick-assembly containers from Suzhou Zhongnan can be combined as needed, completing the construction of 10 standard dormitories in one day.
- Customized Interior Design: For high-end scenarios (such as homestays and brand exhibitions), integrated ceiling, wooden flooring, and bathroom designs can be incorporated, with reserved positions for air conditioners and hot water equipment, achieving an interior decoration quality close to that of ordinary houses.
3. Cost-effectiveness and Reusability Design
- Transportation and Storage Optimization: Foldable containers, when folded, have a volume only one-fifth of their expanded state. Each truck can carry 20 sets, reducing transportation costs by 40%. During storage, they can be stacked up to 8 layers, increasing space utilization by 60%.
- Repeated Disassembly and Assembly Performance: High-quality products can be disassembled and assembled more than 15 times without a significant decrease in structural stability, with the cost per use being only one-third of that of a new product. Non-standard products are prone to frame looseness and wall deformation after 2-3 disassemblies and assemblies.
- Rapid Deployment Capability: Products with a high degree of factory prefabrication (such as the quick-assembly containers from Suzhou Zhongnan) require only 2 hours for the installation of a single set. The deployment period for a 100-set camp is shortened to 7 days, 40% faster than the industry average construction period.
