Small Simple Portable Toilet

Admin 24 de septiembre de 2026

There are mainly two ways to make small simple portable toilets: using a water storage barrel and using a water storage tank with a pallet.

Making with a Water Storage Barrel

First, split the water storage barrel in half with an angle grinder. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for mobility. Then, use wooden strips to fix on the upper side of the barrel to increase its height. Cut an opening on the side of the barrel, install sponge strips to form a door frame, and embed plastic soft boards between the wooden strips to create walls. Place the upper half of the barrel on top of the wooden strips as a roof and apply white waterproof paint to enhance its appearance. Next, use foam strips to piece together discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door. Cut a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain. Drill holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket, connect them with direct fittings, and place the bucket on the roof to form a small water storage device. Connect the bath heater made of water pipes, install a three-way fitting below the inlet pipe, and connect a showerhead. Place the toilet on the drain pipe opening, install the water tank, and fix it with glass glue. Connect the drain pipe to the sewage tank. Finally, horizontally connect a water pipe to the three-way fitting of the outlet pipe and extend it to the door as the inlet pipe for the sink. Drill a hole in the door and install a fitting to connect a hose.

Making with a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet

First, fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a pallet. Place a water storage tank recovered from a garbage station on the pallet. Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the tank to remove the top and form an open tank. Place another open-top water storage tank upside down on top of the first tank and fix the outer frame with self-tapping screws. Cut a rectangular opening on the outer frame of the tank and cut the tank body according to the size to form a door opening. Cut a hole on the internal floor of the tank, insert a bend fitting from the bottom into the water pipe, and seal it with glue. Cut off the excess water pipe. Place the toilet accurately on the drain opening and fix it with glue. Fix a water pipe on the wall buckle and install a faucet. Fix a pipe cap with screws below the faucet, connect the water pipe, and then cut a hole below the pipe cap as the outlet for the drain pipe. Fix a sink made of a stainless steel basin on the pipe cap with glass glue. Connect the inlet pipe to the toilet water tank, connect the shower hose, and install the showerhead bracket and toilet seat. Install a spray-type showerhead made of a water pipe. Finally, bring wooden boards, fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank, and fix the other side of the hinges on the wooden box to form the door of the toilet. Install a door handle on the door.
