Small Portable Toilet

A small portable toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides temporary or permanent toilet services to the public. It is introduced from multiple aspects as follows:

Applicable Places: Small portable toilets have a wide range of applicable places. At transportation hubs such as train stations and docks, where there is a large flow of people and frequent movement, the installation of portable toilets can promptly meet the toilet needs of travelers. Tourist attractions attract a large number of visitors, especially during the peak tourist season when fixed toilets may not be able to meet the demand. Portable toilets can be flexibly arranged. In villa areas and newly built residential communities during the initial construction phase or when supporting facilities are incomplete, portable toilets can provide temporary services. Large construction sites have a dense population of workers, and portable toilets are convenient for them to use. In squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets, where there is a large flow of people and limited space, portable toilets can effectively alleviate toilet pressure.

Composition Structure: It generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and moving device. In terms of materials, wood was initially used, and later it gradually developed into the use of fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. These materials have advantages such as durability, water resistance, and ease of cleaning.

Classification Methods:

• By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single-structure is relatively simple and suitable for places with limited space or single needs. The composite-structure is more complex and has more complete functions to meet various needs.
• By moving method: It is divided into lifting and handling mobile toilets and powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting and handling types are suitable for short-distance movement or relatively flat sites. Powered and towed types can be towed by vehicles to achieve long-distance movement.
• By sewage treatment method: It is divided into water-flushing and waterless-flushing suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flushing mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. The water-flushing type is clean and hygienic but requires a water source. The waterless-flushing suction type uses suction equipment to treat feces. The circulating water-flushing type can save water resources. The dry-packing type packs and treats feces without using water.

In addition, there are also some small portable toilets made of simple materials, such as those made of buckets and wooden boards, which have relatively complete functions and are suitable for families or small places. There are also ultra-mini portable public toilets built with building blocks, which are more creative and interesting.
