Shouguang Container Mobile House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Shouguang container mobile houses mainly refer to 'plant factories' transformed from containers, representing an innovative type of mobile planting facility.

Structure and Design

Shouguang's container mobile houses are modified from standard containers, with their interior spaces reasonably divided into control rooms and planting rooms. The control rooms are equipped with intelligent control systems that use sensors to monitor and display key data such as temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide concentration, light intensity, and nutrient solution levels in real time. They can also automatically control devices like supplemental lighting, fresh air systems, automatic fertilization, and automatic irrigation to ensure precise regulation of the vegetable growing environment. The planting rooms adopt a multi-tiered vertical cultivation rack design, typically divided into two rows with three tiers each. Vegetables are fixed in plug trays, and the nutrients required for growth are precisely provided by the nutrient solution.

Technical Features

  • Full Environmental Simulation: LED plant growth lights are used to simulate sunlight, allowing for adjustments in light wavelength and duration according to different vegetable types. A gentle air circulation system simulates natural wind, promoting photosynthesis and gas exchange in vegetables. Customized nutrient solutions replace soil, and are precisely delivered to plant roots through integrated water and fertilizer equipment, avoiding pesticide residues and soil pollution.
  • Intelligent Control: Through a sensor network, environmental changes are perceived in real time, automatically triggering device adjustments to achieve precise control throughout the entire crop growth cycle. The vegetable growing process is fully enclosed, with automatic regulation of growth factors. Water and nutrient solutions are circulated in a closed loop, achieving water and energy conservation.

Advantages and Applications

  • Advantages: The production capacity per unit of space can reach five times that of traditional planting. A container with a base area of just over 30 square meters can have a planting area equivalent to over 150 square meters of flat farmland. It breaks free from the constraints of land conditions and climatic environments, enabling year-round continuous crop production. Its small size allows for flexible mobility.
  • Applications: It has been successfully applied in regions where traditional planting is difficult, such as extremely cold and extremely hot areas like the Middle Eastern deserts, arid regions of Australia, and extremely cold areas of Canada. It has also been used on China's polar research vessels, providing reliable solutions for stable vegetable and fruit self-sufficiency in soil-less and low-soil areas, as well as offering replicable technical prototypes for urban food supply, special environment resupply, and even future space agriculture exploration.
