Mobile Toilets in Shanghai Parks

There are mobile toilets in Shanghai parks, which are characterized by cleanliness and music, and there are various mobile toilet products available on the market at different prices.

Features of Mobile Toilets

Some foreigners came across an “unknown” mobile toilet in Shanghai and commented that it was clean and had music. This indicates that the mobile toilets in Shanghai parks perform well in terms of hygiene, providing users with a relatively clean environment. Meanwhile, the detail of having music enhances the user experience, to some extent alleviating the discomfort that users may feel in the toilet, reflecting the human-centered design focus of Shanghai parks in the construction of mobile toilet facilities.

Complementary Relationship between Fixed and Mobile Toilets

Regarding fixed toilets, some areas in Shanghai have also undergone upgrades and renovations. For example, Yangpu District has completed hardware upgrades and renovations for 20 park toilets under its jurisdiction, adding new equipment such as sensor toilet paper dispensers, hand dryers, and foam hand-washing liquid dispensers. Some park toilets have been equipped with small kitchen heaters to provide hot water for hand washing. The restroom in Xujiahui Park once had an issue with the light and shadow indicator, which the park management promptly resolved to ensure its normal operation. This indicator was installed to address the problem of unclear toilet directions. These upgrades and improvements to fixed toilets complement mobile toilets, jointly meeting the toilet needs of visitors to Shanghai parks. Fixed toilets are usually located in relatively fixed positions and have relatively complete facilities, suitable for long-term and large numbers of visitors. Mobile toilets, on the other hand, are flexible and can be arranged flexibly according to the visitor flow in different areas and at different times in the park, playing an important role in large-scale events or areas with concentrated visitors.
