Shanghai Movable Toilets
Shanghai offers various types of movable toilets to meet the needs of different scenarios and populations.

I. Custom-designed Movable Toilets In Shanghai, there are custom-designed apple-pod-shaped movable toilets, with overall dimensions of 8 meters in length and 3 meters in width. Their exterior walls are made of metal carved panels, which are waterproof, moisture-proof, and heat-resistant. The front features a logo design, with a public hand-washing area in the middle, and separate compartments for men and women, enhancing privacy during use. These custom-designed movable toilets can be designed and constructed according to specific needs, making them suitable for places with special requirements for image and functionality.
II. Upgraded Movable Public Toilets Several movable public toilets in the Pudong New Area have been upgraded, such as those on Haitong Road and Meihua Road, Century Avenue and Weifang Road, and Zhangyang Road and Miaopu Road, among seven others, which have taken on a new look. The upgraded movable public toilets emphasize harmony and aesthetics, using soft colors like light beige and light brown as the base, complemented by dark blue borders and local accents, enhancing the overall visual effect. Barrier-free passages and stainless steel handrails have been added around public toilets in high-traffic areas to facilitate use by special populations. The interior facilities of ordinary toilet compartments are complete, and there are also “age-friendly and child-friendly toilet compartments” that fully consider the needs of the elderly and children. The movable public toilet at the intersection of Century Avenue and Weifang Road in the Pudong New Area has also added a “Sanitation Workers' Rest Station” exclusively for sanitation workers, equipped with facilities such as refrigerators, shower rooms, microwaves, and charging ports, providing a place for rest and convenience for sanitation workers.
III. Energy-saving and Environmentally Friendly Movable Toilets The Huajie movable toilets developed by Shanghai Huajie Ecological Environment Engineering Co., Ltd. include types such as solar-powered environmental toilets, rainwater-collecting water-saving toilets, and lightweight assembled movable toilets. These movable toilets are highly mobile and energy-saving and environmentally friendly, capable of serving special scenarios, such as the toilet on the 101st floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center and the Olympic torch relay on Mount Everest. They have also provided solutions for large-scale events such as the Beijing Olympics, the Shanghai World Expo, and marathons in various places.
IV. Other Special Movable Toilets There are also “unknown” movable toilets in Shanghai encountered by foreigners, which are clean and have music, creating a comfortable toilet environment for users.
