Admin 02 de octubre de 2026

Shanghai's mobile public toilets have undergone numerous upgrades and improvements in recent years, reflecting a people-friendly and humanized design philosophy.

Pudong New Area: Seven mobile public toilets, located at the intersections of Haitong Road and Meihua Road, Century Avenue and Weifang Road, and Zhangyang Road and Miaopu Road, have been renovated and unveiled. The exterior design emphasizes harmony and aesthetics, utilizing soft color tones. In terms of facilities, barrier-free access and stainless steel handrails have been added to facilitate use by special groups. The interior design has been refined to include convenient facilities, with ordinary toilet compartments fully equipped. "Age-friendly and child-friendly" toilet compartments have been created, equipped with auxiliary handrails and child-specific adaptations. The mobile public toilet at the intersection of Century Avenue and Weifang Road has also introduced a dedicated "Sanitation Workers' Rest Station" for sanitation workers, equipped with facilities such as refrigerators, showers, microwaves, and charging ports, providing a place for rest and convenience.

Jing'an District: It has taken the lead in the city in achieving full coverage of age-friendly and child-friendly services in all public sanitation toilets, including mobile toilets, with 126 public sanitation toilets having been upgraded. The renovations strictly adhere to relevant standards, with age-friendly modifications including barrier-free ramps, non-slip floor tiles, and safety handrails, providing a safer and more convenient toilet environment for the elderly. Child-friendly modifications include anti-collision stickers, child seats, and baby-changing boards, fully considering the needs of children. Mobile public toilets have also undergone unique upgrades, such as the mobile public toilet at the intersection of Laochengdu North Road and Huqing Road, which has been converted from squat toilets to sit-down toilets, with steps removed, handrails installed, and child seats added, further enhancing comfort and convenience.

Customized Services: There are also companies in Shanghai that offer customized mobile toilet services, such as Shanghai Guyi Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. They can tailor-make various types of mobile toilet compartments according to customer needs and provide a series of services from on-site measurement, design optimization, production and processing, transportation and installation, to after-sales maintenance, meeting the needs of different scenarios and customers.

In addition, the cleanliness and unique designs of Shanghai's mobile toilets, such as playing music, have also been praised by foreigners, reflecting Shanghai's dedication and effectiveness in public facility construction.
