Images of Prefabricated Panels for Self-Built Houses

Admin 19 de septiembre de 2026

Currently, we cannot directly provide images of prefabricated panels for self-built houses, but we can offer a detailed introduction to the types, characteristics, and application scenarios of prefabricated panels.

Prefabricated panels are commonly used components in modern construction, known for their standardized production, high construction efficiency, and stable quality. They are widely applied in self-built houses, industrial plants, and commercial buildings. Based on materials and uses, prefabricated panels are mainly classified into the following categories:

1. Reinforced Concrete Prefabricated Panels
This is the most common type, made by pouring concrete around a steel reinforcement framework. It offers high strength and durability, suitable for floor slabs, roof panels, and walls. Its advantages include strong load-bearing capacity, meeting the needs of large spans, and excellent fire resistance. However, it is relatively heavy and requires reasonable structural design for use.

2. Lightweight Composite Panels
These panels use light steel keels as the framework, with surfaces covered by gypsum boards, calcium silicate boards, or metal sheets, and filled with insulation materials such as rock wool or polystyrene boards in the middle. They are lightweight, easy to install, and provide sound insulation and thermal insulation, commonly used for interior partitions or non-load-bearing exterior walls. Their drawback is relatively weak impact resistance, requiring protection from sharp objects.

3. Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Panels (ALC Panels)
Made from cement, lime, silica sand, and other raw materials, these panels are cured under high-pressure steam and feature a porous structure. They are lightweight, have good thermal insulation properties, and can be sawed and nailed, facilitating on-site processing. They are suitable for walls or roofs of low-rise residential buildings but require moisture-proof treatment to avoid prolonged exposure to damp environments.

4. Metal-Faced Sandwich Panels
Composed of two layers of metal sheets (such as color-coated steel sheets) and a core material like polyurethane or rock wool in the middle, these panels are commonly used in industrial plants or temporary buildings. They offer advantages such as waterproofing, fire resistance, rapid installation, and a neat appearance. However, long-term use requires attention to the corrosion resistance of the metal sheets to prevent rusting and structural safety issues.

Application Scenario Recommendations:

  • For rapid construction with a limited budget, lightweight composite panels or metal-faced sandwich panels are cost-effective choices;
  • When high structural strength is required, reinforced concrete prefabricated panels are the priority;
  • For energy conservation and environmental protection, ALC panels or composite panels with insulation layers are more suitable.

Tip: When selecting, it is essential to conduct a comprehensive evaluation based on local climate, building codes, and construction conditions. Consult a structural engineer if necessary to ensure safety.
