Rural Prefabricated Housing
Rural prefabricated housing is a construction model where components are prefabricated in factories and then assembled on-site. This model has seen development both domestically and internationally, with varying prices among different brands.

Definition and Characteristics: Rural prefabricated housing involves the prefabrication of components such as walls, roofs, beams, and columns in a standardized factory environment according to precise designs and strict specifications. These components are then transported to the construction site for rapid assembly. This construction model is relatively popular in European and American countries. Although not yet widely adopted in rural China, it has seen some development. Its advantages are evident. Taking the prefabricated houses emerging in rural Henan as an example, they resemble containers in appearance, are constructed with reinforced concrete, and have good structural strength and stability, capable of withstanding certain external impacts and natural environmental tests. They provide rural residents with a new and more cost-effective housing option.
Domestic and International Development: Abroad, Chinese prefabricated houses have performed impressively in overseas markets. Factories in the Pearl River Delta region dismantle reinforced concrete houses into modules, produce them on assembly lines, and ship them abroad. Assembly on-site is as easy as building with blocks, with water pipes and electrical wires pre-installed, offering complete functionality. A set can be delivered to your doorstep for as little as 200,000 RMB. In the first quarter of this year, China's prefabricated building exports surged by 45%, and export values from Guangdong customs soared by 38.1% year-on-year in the first four months. In rural China, prefabricated houses offer significant cost advantages in purchasing, with prices as low as just over 300 RMB per square meter, and they come with a 70-year quality guarantee.
Market Brands and Prices: The market for rural prefabricated housing features a variety of brands, such as Furui Mei, Baitai, Yijia, and Xuanli. Prices vary among different brands, regions, and types of prefabricated houses. For example, the prefabricated light steel assembly houses from the Furui Mei brand in Cangzhou, Hebei, are mostly priced at 480 RMB per square meter; the prefabricated guard booth houses and rural outdoor eco-friendly public toilets from the Baitai brand in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, are priced at 800 RMB per square meter; the single-story light steel villas from the Hebei Xuanli brand in Heze, Shandong, are priced at 1,270 RMB per square meter; and the single-story light steel rural house prefabricated assembled buildings from the Hebei Xuanli brand in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, are priced at 1,280 RMB per square meter.
