Rural Mobile Toilet Installation Guide

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

The installation of rural mobile toilets should follow four major steps: pre-construction preparation, construction process, quality acceptance, and post-maintenance. Details are as follows:

I. Pre-construction Preparation

  1. Site Survey and Planning
Evaluate the terrain, avoid low-lying areas prone to water accumulation, and prioritize locations close to public areas and convenient for sewage disposal. Design anti-freezing measures based on climatic characteristics, such as adding wall insulation layers and using anti-freezing septic tanks in Inner Mongolia.
  2. Material and Equipment Selection
    • Main Structure: Choose light steel keels or modular steel structures, considering both strength and corrosion resistance.
    • Wall Materials: Use double-layer color steel plates or insulated bricks, with polystyrene foam boards filled in between to enhance insulation performance.
    • Sewage System: Select three-chamber septic tanks, biodegradable toilets, or vacuum suction toilets based on conditions to ensure harmless treatment.
    • Supporting Facilities: Equip with water-saving flushing devices, anti-odor floor drains, ventilation windows, and lighting fixtures.

II. Construction Process and Key Techniques

  1. Foundation Construction
Excavate the foundation pit below the frost line (approximately 1.5-2 meters in Inner Mongolia), pour a concrete foundation, and embed anchor bolts. The surface flatness error should be controlled within ±5mm.
  2. Main Body Installation
Modularly assemble the bottom frame, walls, roof, and doors and windows, sealing the connections with waterproof glue. Lay anti-slip floor tiles on the ground, with a slope design of 2%-3% to ensure drainage.
  3. Sewage System Construction
    • Septic Tank: Lay a sand and gravel bedding layer, place the septic tank, cover it with a 30cm soil layer, and set up an inspection port.
    • Biodegradable Toilet: Install a biological strain reactor, connect the ventilation pipe, and regularly add bacterial agents.
    • Vacuum Suction Toilet: Ensure the pipe slope is ≥1%, install a vacuum pump, and test the pressure (-0.04 to -0.06MPa).
  4. Water and Electricity System Installation
    • Water Supply: Use a pressure tank or elevated water tank, and wrap insulation cotton in winter.
    • Drainage: Bury the septic tank outlet pipe below the frost line or use electric tracing for insulation.
    • Circuit: Install moisture-proof switches and sockets, protect the wiring with PVC pipes, and ensure the grounding resistance is ≤4Ω.

III. Quality Acceptance Standards

  1. Structural Safety: The wind resistance rating should be ≥8, the ground bearing capacity should be ≥200kg/m², and there should be no cracks or hollowing.
  2. Hygiene Performance: The water level in the septic tank should drop ≤10mm after 24 hours of water injection, the odor concentration at the exhaust port should be ≤10, and the indoor ammonia concentration should be ≤0.2mg/m³.
  3. Usage Function: The flushing device should use ≤3L of water per flush, the drainage time should be ≤5 seconds, and the ventilation window area should be ≥1/20 of the ground area.

IV. Post-maintenance and Management

  1. Regular Cleaning: Clean the septic tank every 3-6 months, add bacterial agents to the biodegradable toilet every month, and check the vacuum pump of the vacuum toilet weekly.
  2. Other Maintenance: Pay attention to insulation or wind resistance performance in extreme weather, and regularly inspect and clean or replace components during long-term use.
