Prefabrication of Stairs for Rural Houses
The use of prefabricated stairs in rural houses offers advantages such as high construction efficiency, stable quality, and cost-effectiveness, but also has drawbacks like poor integrity and earthquake resistance, as well as an unattractive appearance.

High Construction Efficiency: Prefabricated stairs are manufactured in factories according to design specifications and can be constructed simultaneously with the main structure of the house. After the main structure is completed, installation can be finished in half a day using a crane, and the stairs can be put into use on the same day without affecting subsequent decoration. Compared to traditional cast-in-place stairs, this can save 10 to 15 days of construction time. For example, a customer who needed a new house urgently for his son's wedding chose prefabricated stairs, and the house was completed nearly half a month earlier than originally planned, effectively meeting his time requirements.
Stable Quality: In the constant temperature and humidity environment of the factory workshop, high-strength reinforced concrete is used to produce prefabricated stairs through standardized processes and specialized machinery. This production method avoids many problems that may occur with on-site cast-in-place stairs, such as inadequate vibration of the concrete, surface defects like "honeycombing" and "pitting," and later cracking, ensuring the quality stability and reliability of the stairs.
Cost Advantage: The assembly process of prefabricated stairs is simple, saving labor and time. In the context of self-built houses, there is generally no additional cost, and even if there is, it is calculated per square meter, making the overall price relatively affordable and economically viable.
Drawbacks: Prefabricated stairs are separate from the main structure of the house, resulting in poor integrity. In the event of natural disasters like earthquakes, their earthquake resistance is inferior to that of cast-in-place stairs. Moreover, the appearance of prefabricated stairs is often not very attractive, and their integration with the main structure of the house is low, which may affect the overall aesthetics and harmony of the house.
