Dimensions of Prefabricated Floor Slabs for Rural Houses

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

The dimensions of prefabricated floor slabs for rural houses mainly include three aspects: length, width, and thickness, with the following specific specifications:

Length: The length range of prefabricated floor slabs for rural houses typically falls between 2 meters and 6 meters, with 2-3 meters being the most common in practical applications. The mainstream standard lengths are concentrated at 3.3 meters, 3.6 meters, 3.9 meters, and 4.2 meters, all of which increase in increments of 300 millimeters (e.g., 3000, 3300, 3600, 3900, and 4200 millimeters). Additionally, there are special specifications such as 3800 millimeters and 4000 millimeters, but the length of ordinary prefabricated floor slabs generally does not exceed 4200 millimeters. In civil buildings, the length of commonly used prefabricated floor slabs rarely exceeds 4.5 meters, mainly due to transportation and installation constraints.

Width: The width specifications of prefabricated floor slabs are relatively concentrated, with common dimensions being 0.5 meters, 0.6 meters, and 0.9 meters. Some designs adopt four-hole or five-hole structures, corresponding to widths of 400 millimeters and 500 millimeters, respectively. The choice of width should be based on the floor slab's span and load requirements. For example, when the span is large, priority should be given to ensuring the floor slab's flexural performance, and the width may be adjusted accordingly.

Thickness: The thickness of prefabricated floor slabs directly affects their load-bearing capacity and sound insulation performance. For ordinary rooms (such as bedrooms and living rooms), a floor slab thickness of 120 millimeters is sufficient to meet the requirements. If it is a second-floor structure or heavy objects (such as furniture and equipment) need to be placed, the thickness should be increased to more than 150 millimeters. In some special scenarios (such as industrial plants or commercial buildings), thicker floor slabs may be used, but 120 millimeters and 150 millimeters are the most common specifications in rural self-built houses.

Design Basis: The dimension design of prefabricated floor slabs should comprehensively consider building structure, load requirements, construction convenience, and cost-effectiveness. Increasing the length in increments of a module reduces the variety of molds and lowers production costs. The choice of width and thickness should match the building span, usage function, and material properties. For example, floor slabs with a span exceeding 4 meters need to have their load-bearing capacity enhanced by increasing the thickness or adding reinforcement bars, while an excessively narrow width may affect construction efficiency.

Precautions: During actual construction, the dimensions of prefabricated floor slabs should strictly correspond to the architectural drawings to avoid installation difficulties or structural safety hazards caused by dimensional deviations. Additionally, during transportation, care should be taken to protect the edges of the floor slabs to prevent damage from impacts that could affect their structural performance.
