Rural Fully Prefabricated Assembled Housing
Rural fully prefabricated assembled housing is a rural housing construction model that uses factory-prefabricated components assembled on-site, featuring short construction periods, good earthquake resistance, and energy conservation and environmental protection.

Construction Model and Core Features
The core of this model is "factory-prefabricated components, on-site assembly." Major components such as walls and floor slabs are standardized and prefabricated in factories and then transported to the site for rapid assembly, with the construction process resembling "building blocks" or "assembling Lego." Compared to traditional brick-and-mortar rural houses, its construction period can be halved. For example, the main structure of the first model house in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province, took only about 7 days to build. Additionally, factory production avoids on-site construction errors, improves overall structural integrity, effectively reduces the risk of rural house collapses, and is suitable for complex geological and disaster-prone rural environments.
Technological Integration and Environmental Advantages
This model integrates prefabricated component production, BIM technology design, mechanical hoisting and assembly, and green and low-carbon technologies. The technological system can integrate energy-saving systems such as photovoltaic roofs and ground-source heat pumps to reduce building energy consumption. At the same time, on-site operations reduce wet construction, significantly lowering construction waste and carbon emissions, meeting the needs of sustainable rural development.
Regional Practices and Policy Support
- Zhejiang: As a national pilot province for steel-structured prefabricated residential housing, it has introduced support policies such as financial subsidies and housing construction loans. Lin'an District has built multiple demonstration communities of light steel-structured rural houses, and provincial technical guidelines and the "Rural Housing Zhejiang Construction" full life-cycle management system are being promoted.
- Mianyang, Sichuan: Yuhuang Community in Fucheng District has 29 households using light steel-structured prefabricated rural houses.
- Hebei: Through the "Yunongtong" APP, it has launched a pilot application system, planning to achieve the selection and construction of 20,000 rural households by the end of 2025, covering 45 counties (cities, districts), and providing a housing construction subsidy of 10,000 yuan per household.
- Changsha: In 2024, it launched a pilot project for the renovation of prefabricated rural dilapidated houses, with local governments in many places issuing technical guidelines, atlases, and providing financial incentives.
Structural Types and Application Scenarios
The main structural types include light steel structures and concrete shear wall structures. Light steel structures are lightweight and have excellent earthquake resistance, suitable for areas with complex geological conditions or frequent disasters; concrete shear wall structures have good overall integrity and are suitable for the construction of multi-story rural houses. Both structures meet the needs of different regions through standardized design.
