Quzhou Container House Design

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The design of container houses in Quzhou requires comprehensive consideration of functional layout, structural safety, environmental adaptability, and compliance. Here are the key design points:

1. Function and Spatial Layout

Container houses can expand functional areas through splicing and combination. For example, connecting or staggered stacking 2-3 containers can create spaces such as an integrated living and dining room, bedrooms, and bathrooms. A flat layout of about 100 square meters can meet basic living needs. For small units (e.g., 15 square meters), it is recommended to use multi-functional furniture such as folding beds and integrated cabinets to improve space utilization. Staggered floor design can create rich layers, with the ground floor reserved for a leisure courtyard or aisle to improve ventilation and lighting.

2. Structural Safety and Material Selection

The main body of the container is made of steel, so rust and corrosion prevention are crucial. During the construction phase, the cut and welded edges should be polished and painted with epoxy primer and topcoat. The welds and corners, which are prone to rust, should be inspected annually. In humid southern regions, the anti-corrosion coating needs to be reapplied every 7-10 years. The walls and roof should be equipped with internal insulation layers, and triple-glazed windows should be selected to enhance thermal insulation performance, which is better than that of red brick walls. Roof eaves or terrace sunshades can prevent excessive summer sun exposure while enriching the facade design.

3. Environmental Adaptability Design

The exterior facade can be treated with paint spraying, themed spray painting, or glass curtain walls to get rid of the industrial feel. The container should be elevated on pile foundations to prevent moisture and pests and facilitate site leveling. Installing large floor-to-ceiling windows and roof skylights can enhance indoor lighting and integrate with nature. If used on rural homesteads, it is necessary to follow local requirements for building approval and provide structural drawings. For leased land, the nature of use should be clarified to avoid the risk of illegal construction.

4. Post-Maintenance Points

Waterproof sealing is crucial. The sealant around doors and windows and the joints between container bodies should be replaced every 5-7 years, and the roof should be cleaned of leaves annually. The container body should not be placed directly on the ground, and the foundation should be raised to avoid moisture erosion. In coastal areas with severe salt spray corrosion, the anti-corrosion coating needs to be reapplied every 3-5 years, while in dry inland areas, this can be extended to 8-12 years.
