Pudong Mobile Public Toilets
Pudong Mobile Public Toilets have made significant progress in renovation projects, upgrade effects, and leasing services.
Renovation Projects: In 2024, the Pudong New Area launched a mobile public toilet renovation project, procuring and updating seven mobile public toilets located at Puyi Road and Pu'ao Road, Yongtai Road Bus Stop 572, Dongsan Street and Jiaonan Road, among others. The new toilet designs place greater emphasis on humanization, with male and female restrooms set up independently in proportion, and separate third restrooms and barrier-free access added to meet the needs of different groups. The total investment for the project is 2.485 million yuan, with 1.8 million yuan allocated by the Pudong New Area's finance in 2024, and the remaining funds to be included in the 2025 departmental budget to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
Upgrade Effects: Seven mobile public toilets, including those on Haitong Road and Meihua Road, Century Avenue and Weifang Road, and Zhangyang Road and Miaopu Road, have been upgraded and put into use. The upgraded toilets feature a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing appearance, using soft colors such as light beige and light brown as the base, complemented by dark blue borders and local accents, blending in with the surrounding environment. In areas with high pedestrian traffic, barrier-free access and stainless steel handrails have been added around the toilets for the convenience of special groups. The interior facilities of ordinary restrooms are complete, with simple and bright decoration; at the same time, "age-friendly and child-friendly restrooms" have been created to meet the needs of special groups such as the elderly and children. The electronic screens on restroom doors display real-time usage status, improving usage efficiency. The mobile public toilet located at the intersection of Century Avenue and Weifang Road has also added a "sanitation station" to provide rest, shower, and charging facilities for sanitation workers.
Leasing Services: The Pudong New Area also offers mobile toilet leasing services, covering various types such as mobile toilets for epidemic prevention centers, portable mobile toilets, and outdoor mobile toilets, suitable for various scenarios such as construction sites, concerts, and music festivals, to meet different temporary needs.
