How to Decorate a Prefabricated Slab Building

Admin 19 de septiembre de 2026

When decorating a prefabricated slab building, it is essential to focus on aspects such as water and electricity renovation, renovation of old buildings, and functional upgrades. Details are as follows:

Water and Electricity

Prefabricated slab buildings have a hollow structure. It is strictly prohibited to cut horizontal grooves in the walls, and the depth of grooves is usually 5 centimeters. If water and electricity renovation is required, try to choose to cut grooves and lay wires on the ground or ceiling to avoid damaging the structural stability of the prefabricated slabs and prevent safety hazards such as wall cracking and floor bearing damage caused by improper grooving.

Renovation of Old Prefabricated Slab Buildings

  • Understand the Situation: Old prefabricated slab buildings may have problems such as wall cracks, rusty steel bars, and foundation settlement. It is necessary to hire a qualified testing agency to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the building using professional instruments. Based on the evaluation results, formulate a reinforcement or renovation plan. For example, if the wall cracks are small, grout injection repair can be used. Repair materials are injected into the cracks to fill the gaps and enhance the wall strength. If the cracks are severe, steel plate reinforcement is required to improve the wall's load-bearing capacity. For roof leakage problems, a new waterproof layer needs to be applied. Choose high-quality waterproof materials to ensure long-lasting waterproofing effects. If the foundation is unstable, pile foundation reinforcement can be used to enhance the foundation's stability.
  • Functional Upgrades
    • Sound Insulation: To improve living comfort, soundproof panels and double-glazed windows can be used. Soundproof panels can effectively block sound transmission, and double-glazed windows provide sound insulation through the air layer between the two glass panes. The combination of the two can improve sound insulation by about 70%, reducing interference from external noise.
    • Roof Treatment: Use a two-meter level to measure the roof error. If the gap is less than 5 millimeters, it can be directly leveled with plaster. The cost is about 30 yuan per square meter, and the thickness does not exceed 3 millimeters. This method is simple and quick and can effectively improve the roof's flatness. If the error is between 5 and 20 millimeters or exceeds 20 millimeters, a suspended ceiling treatment is required. The suspended ceiling can hide the roof's unevenness and also serve as a decoration.
    • Installing Wooden Strips: In the decoration of villa prefabricated houses, after installing the wooden strips, their height needs to be adjusted. Since the height of each beam in the previous house was different, the height of the installed gypsum board needs to be adjusted to the same plane using wooden strips to prevent the gypsum board from cracking. Wooden strips can also be used for wiring. Wires can pass through the gaps between the wooden strips, making the wiring more neat and standardized. When adjusting the height of the wooden strips, first find the lowest point of the wooden strips in the room and adjust the other wooden strips downward to the same height. Use a slow electric screwdriver instead of an impact wrench as the adjustment tool to avoid damaging the wooden strips due to excessive adjustment force.
