Renovation Cases of Prefabricated Panel Structure Houses

Admin 19 de septiembre de 2026

Renovation cases of prefabricated panel structure houses mainly include the original demolition and reconstruction case of No. 2 Juqun Street, Huadu District, Guangzhou, and the warm wooden-style old house renovation case.

Case of No. 2 Juqun Street, Huadu District, Guangzhou: This house, built in 1976, is a five-story prefabricated panel building. It was identified as a Grade D dilapidated building in 2024. Faced with this situation, dozens of households chose to raise funds themselves and carry out original demolition and reconstruction according to the standard of 4600 yuan per square meter. This renovation method not only retained the original structural form of the house but also improved the living quality by updating internal facilities. In January 2025, the renovated house was successfully handed over, and the owners received the real estate ownership certificates at the same time. The new building has been upgraded in many aspects, such as the installation of elevators for the convenience of residents going up and down the stairs; the replacement of pipelines to improve the stability and safety of water and electricity supply; and the use of double-layer Low-E glass for window frames, effectively enhancing the thermal insulation performance of the house. These renovation measures have directly increased the house price by 1.6 times, fully demonstrating the value and effectiveness of the renovation.

Warm Wooden-Style Old House Renovation Case: This house also has a prefabricated panel structure. Due to its structural characteristics, it is not suitable for large-scale modifications. The owner hoped to increase the number of rooms and improve living comfort. During the renovation process, the designer incorporated part of the balcony area into the children's room, transformed it into a tatami mat, and created an independent study area, meeting both the child's rest needs and providing a good learning environment. At the same time, the layout of the bathroom was re-planned to increase usability; the storage space in the kitchen was increased to make it more tidy and organized. In addition, through reasonable color matching and lighting arrangement, the ventilation and lighting problems of the entrance hallway were improved, optimizing the structure and function of the entire house and significantly enhancing living comfort.
