Wiring in Prefabricated Panel Houses

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

When wiring in prefabricated panel houses, appropriate methods should be selected according to different situations, and strict safety regulations must be followed. The specific methods are as follows:

I. Wiring Methods for Different Scenarios

  1. Houses with Suspended Ceilings
The space inside the suspended ceiling can be utilized to arrange electrical wires. It is necessary to ensure that the wire conduits are firmly fixed to prevent wire movement and to guarantee good wire insulation performance. Wiring inside the suspended ceiling can hide the circuits, maintaining indoor aesthetics, but inspection openings should be reserved for later maintenance.

  2. Wall Grooving for Wiring
This method is suitable for connecting electrical wires at different indoor locations. Before grooving, the wall structure should be confirmed, and it is strictly prohibited to damage load-bearing walls or the connection parts between prefabricated floor slabs and walls. After grooving, the grooves should be filled and the wall surface repaired to ensure flatness. This method is applicable to non-load-bearing walls, but attention should be paid to the depth and width of the grooves to avoid affecting wall stability.

  3. Wiring on the Roof of Prefabricated Panels
If there are straight hollow conduits inside the prefabricated panels, sheathed wires can be placed inside these conduits to complete the concealed wiring layout. This method does not require damaging the roof structure, but the position and unobstructed nature of the conduits should be confirmed in advance to avoid wire jamming or abrasion.

  4. Prefabricated Panels in Rural Self-built Houses

    • Reserved Wiring Holes: If there are reserved holes in the prefabricated panels, wires can be directly threaded through them, but it is necessary to ensure that there are no burrs inside the holes and to use insulating sleeves to prevent electric leakage.
    • Laying in Panel Seams: If the panel seams are wide, wire conduits can be laid inside the seams, and after threading the wires, they should be filled and fixed with cement mortar. This method is suitable for situations without reserved holes, but the sealing of the panel seams should be guaranteed.
    • Surface Laying: If wires need to be laid on the surface of the prefabricated panels, flame-retardant wire conduits should be fixed first, and then secured firmly with conduit clamps to prevent damage to the circuits during subsequent decoration.
  5. Wiring in the Walls of Prefabricated Panels
Grooves can be made for wire conduits, but approved external wires should be used to ensure correct wiring and insulation safety. Grooving should be carried out according to regulations to avoid damaging the walls or affecting their appearance. If the grooves crack, they should be repaired immediately to prevent electric leakage.

II. Safety Precautions

  • Strictly Prohibit Grooving in Prefabricated Floor Slabs: Prefabricated floor slabs have a hollow structure, and grooving will damage their load-bearing performance, leading to safety hazards.
  • Risks in Rural Self-built Houses: If operated improperly, there may be liability for safety accidents (such as electric shock due to leakage) or building safety violations (such as damaging load-bearing structures). It is necessary to strictly comply with the provision of the 'Construction Law' on 'ensuring building safety'.
