Which Part of a Prefabricated Panel House is Good

Admin 19 de septiembre de 2026

In prefabricated panel houses, the floor slab, roof panel, and partition wall panel positions are relatively good, but the specific choice needs to be combined with the actual situation and requirements.

Floor Slab, Roof Panel, and Partition Wall Panel

In high-rise buildings, prefabricated panels are commonly used for floor slabs, roof panels, and partition wall panels. Their advantages are significant. The construction speed is fast, which can greatly shorten the construction period and improve construction efficiency. The quality is stable because they are produced in a standardized manner in factories, ensuring the dimensional accuracy and quality consistency of the components. They are also environmentally friendly and energy-saving, reducing wet operations on-site, lowering dust and noise pollution, and having a high material utilization rate, which aligns with the concept of green buildings. For example, in the construction of some large commercial complexes or residential communities, using prefabricated panels as floor slabs and roof panels can quickly complete the main structure construction, buying time for subsequent decoration and delivery.

Roof

Prefabricated panels can be used for the roofs of rural self-built houses, but there are many limitations. When prefabricated panels are used on the roof, they are not an integral part of the wall and cannot provide tensile and stabilizing effects. In the event of geological disasters such as earthquakes, the overall integrity of the house is poor, making it prone to danger. Moreover, prefabricated panel roofs may have water leakage problems because the sealing at the joints between panels is difficult to guarantee. Additionally, when the foundation settles, cracks are likely to form on the roof, affecting the service life and safety of the house. Therefore, if prefabricated panels are chosen for the roof, it is necessary to fully consider factors such as the geological conditions and climate environment of the house's location and take corresponding reinforcement and waterproofing measures.

Installation Position Selection: Wall or Ring Beam

  • Wall: The advantages are simple installation, a wide range of applications, and the ability to complete installation in a relatively short time. For some prefabricated panels with a small load, such as lightweight partition wall panels, installing them on the wall can quickly complete the task of dividing the space. However, the disadvantage is that the load-bearing capacity of the wall is limited. If the prefabricated panels are too heavy or there are too many of them, the wall may not be able to withstand the load and crack, affecting the structural safety of the house.
  • Ring Beam: The advantage is that it can bear more weight than the wall, better share the structural load, and complete installation in a relatively short time. For some heavier prefabricated panels, such as those used as floor slabs, installing them on the ring beam can ensure the stability of the structure. However, the installation is relatively troublesome. It is necessary to reasonably plan the load-bearing capacity and quantity of the ring beams. Different structural designs may affect the installation position, requiring a professional design and construction team to operate.
