Thickness Specifications for Prefabricated Panel Houses

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

The thickness specifications for prefabricated panel houses mainly include the thickness of the prefabricated panels themselves, the thickness of the house walls, and the thickness when prefabricated panels are used as brick formworks. Details are as follows:

Thickness of prefabricated panels themselves: Common standard sizes are 120mm and 150mm. A 120mm-thick prefabricated panel is suitable for light-load scenarios, such as internal partition walls or decorative walls. In these cases, the structural load-bearing requirements are relatively low, and a 120mm thickness can meet basic support and separation functions. A 150mm-thick prefabricated panel is often used for structures that need to bear larger loads, such as floor slabs or exterior walls. Floor slabs need to support the weight of people and furniture, while exterior walls have to withstand external forces like wind and rain. A 150mm thickness provides sufficient strength and stability. In special cases, floor slabs in high-rise residential buildings may use prefabricated panels that are 180 - 240mm thick, and super high-rise buildings may even require 300mm-thick prefabricated panels. This is because high-rise and super high-rise buildings have higher requirements for structural safety and stability, and thicker prefabricated panels can better meet their load-bearing needs. For lightweight partition walls, 60 - 90mm-thick prefabricated panels are sufficient, while load-bearing walls require at least 120mm thickness. Load-bearing walls are responsible for transferring the weight of the building, and sufficient thickness is crucial for ensuring structural safety.

Thickness of house walls in prefabricated panel houses: Generally, they are 75mm, 90mm, 100mm, 120mm, etc. A 75mm wall is mainly suitable for interior partitions. It can meet the need for space separation while minimizing the occupation of interior space. A 90mm wall is mainly used for exterior wall insulation. It ensures a certain level of insulation while taking into account the strength and stability of the wall. A 100mm wall is mainly suitable for exterior wall insulation and the construction of light-weight houses. For some light-weight houses with relatively low structural requirements, a 100mm wall thickness is more appropriate. A 120mm wall is mainly suitable for heavy industrial buildings. Heavy industrial buildings usually have large loads and complex stress conditions, and a 120mm wall thickness can provide more reliable support.

Thickness when prefabricated panels are used as brick formworks: Common thickness specifications include 90mm, 100mm, 120mm, 200mm, etc. The specific choice needs to be determined according to the actual engineering situation and design requirements. Different projects have different requirements for the strength and stability of brick formworks. Designers will comprehensively consider various factors, such as foundation type, soil conditions, and construction techniques, to select an appropriate thickness.
