Building Materials for Prefabricated Panel Houses
The main building materials for prefabricated panel houses are concrete and steel bars.

Concrete: Concrete is one of the core materials for prefabricated panel houses and plays a crucial role in the production of prefabricated panels. When making prefabricated panels, a hollow mold is first nailed together using wooden planks. This mold provides the shape framework for the subsequent concrete pouring. After that, steel bars are placed inside the hollow part of the mold, and then the hollow part is filled with cement. Here, the cement, when mixed with water and aggregates, forms concrete. Concrete has high strength and durability, enabling it to withstand certain pressures and loads, providing basic structural support for the prefabricated panels. In prefabricated panel houses, concrete gives the panels sufficient rigidity to bear the weight of the house itself as well as external forces that may occur during use, such as those generated by human activities and furniture placement. Moreover, concrete also has good fire-resistant properties, which can to some extent prevent the spread of fires and ensure the safety of the house.
Steel Bars: Steel bars are also indispensable building materials for prefabricated panel houses. During the production of prefabricated panels, steel bars are placed inside the hollow mold. Steel bars have high tensile strength, while concrete has high compressive strength. The combination of the two can fully leverage their respective advantages. When the prefabricated panel is under load, if the concrete is subjected to tensile forces, the steel bars can bear this part of the tensile force, preventing the concrete from cracking due to excessive tensile force, thereby enhancing the overall strength and stability of the prefabricated panel. Steel bars act like the 'skeleton' of the prefabricated panel, providing the necessary tensile capacity so that the panel can better withstand various external forces and ensure the safety and reliability of the house structure.
In addition, prefabricated panels come in two types: solid and hollow. The hollow structure achieves lightweighting by reducing the non-load-bearing concrete. This design not only ensures that the prefabricated panel has a certain degree of strength but also reduces its weight, facilitating the transportation and installation of the panels and improving construction efficiency.
