Prefabricated Monolithic Concrete House
The prefabricated monolithic concrete house is a type of pre-cast housing (prefabricated building) that is produced industrially and assembled on-site, offering high efficiency, cost-effectiveness, safety, and environmental friendliness.

High Construction Efficiency
The prefabricated monolithic concrete house adopts a factory-prefabricated component model, where core components such as beams, slabs, walls, and columns are produced in advance at the factory and then transported to the site for direct hoisting and assembly. For example, the main structure of a 200-square-meter villa can be completed in as little as 4 hours, saving approximately 90% of the time compared to traditional construction methods. This industrial production model reduces on-site wet work, significantly shortening the construction period, and is particularly suitable for projects with tight deadlines.
Lower Cost
The main structure of this type of house offers significant cost advantages. For a 100-square-meter house, the main construction cost is approximately 100,000 to 120,000 yuan, which is about 30% lower than that of traditional brick-and-mortar structures. Cost savings mainly come from three aspects: first, large-scale factory production reduces material waste; second, the shortened on-site construction period reduces labor costs; and third, industrial production reduces reliance on on-site skilled workers, further compressing labor costs.
Strong Safety
Structural safety is ensured through both material and process guarantees. The main frame uses C35 high-strength concrete combined with thickened steel bars, which can withstand winds of up to 12 on the Beaufort scale; in simulated earthquake tests, the house's sway displacement is only 3 centimeters, far below traditional building standards. Additionally, prefabricated components undergo strict quality inspections during factory production, avoiding potential quality issues that may arise during on-site construction, resulting in higher overall structural stability.
Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency
Environmental friendliness is reflected throughout the construction and usage cycle. During the construction phase, reduced on-site wet work leads to a more than 70% reduction in construction waste emissions (as demonstrated by the Fujian Provincial Industrial Base case); during the usage phase, the pre-embedded insulation layer design reduces winter heating costs by 50%, while indoor formaldehyde levels are only one-third of the national standard, effectively improving living health.
Design Limitations
Due to the industrial production model, there are certain limitations in architectural design flexibility. Standard components make it difficult to achieve complex curved or irregular structures, such as rounded balconies, and customized designs require an additional 20% fee. This characteristic requires prioritizing standardized modules during the design phase or balancing functionality and cost through partial customization.
Application Cases
China's prefabricated concrete technology began in the 1950s, initially applied to factory and residential construction; in the 21st century, companies like Vanke Group have developed prefabricated shear wall residential structural systems and applied prestressed prefabricated concrete assembled monolithic frame structural systems in projects such as the Nanjing Jindi Yufang project. At the policy level, regions like Fujian Province have promoted technology popularization through industrial base construction, forming replicable industrial building models.
