Prefabricated Modular Housing Production

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

The production of prefabricated modular housing mainly involves the production of modular buildings, exterior wall panels, foldable prefabricated houses, and movable modular houses, as detailed below:

Modular Building Production

Modular buildings are one of the core forms of prefabricated modular housing. The key lies in breaking down the entire building into multiple independent modules, which cover critical building components such as ceilings, floors, walls, and plumbing and electrical systems. In the factory, modular prefabrication is completed through assembly-line operations. For example, at the China Construction Hai Long Intelligent Construction Industrial Park, ceilings, walls, and waterproof layers in bathrooms of houses are all produced in the factory. After individual production of scattered components, final assembly is completed at the assembly station. This production method can deliver a large number of modules annually. Taking the China Construction Hai Long Intelligent Construction Industrial Park in Shenzhen, Guangdong, as an example, it can deliver 20,000 to 30,000 modules per year. After module manufacturing is completed, they are transported to the construction site and assembled like building blocks to quickly form the building.

Exterior Wall Panel Production

The production of exterior wall panels adopts the reverse-casting process. First, tiles are carefully laid on the formwork, followed by steel bar binding and concrete pouring. After the concrete cures and takes shape, the prefabricated wall panels are erected, and the tile joints are meticulously treated. Subsequently, the components undergo steam curing. After reaching a certain strength, they are demolded, lifted, numbered, and classified and stored according to different specifications and uses for subsequent construction.

Foldable Prefabricated House Production

Foldable prefabricated houses complete all interior decoration and system integration work in the factory. After production, they can be folded and packed into containers for transportation, greatly improving transportation convenience and efficiency. Upon arrival at the site, only simple unfolding operations and connection to water and electricity are required for quick commissioning. For example, a 73-square-meter fully furnished two-bedroom prefabricated house purchased online by an American couple from China only required unfolding and connection to water and electricity for occupancy during installation.

Movable Modular House Production

The chassis of movable modular houses is welded from stainless steel beams, with dimensions customizable according to actual needs. On the welded chassis, polyethylene film and glass wool are laid sequentially to provide moisture resistance and thermal insulation. The floor brackets are nailed from wooden boards, with cold and hot water pipelines laid inside the frame. After being filled with filler and covered with a baseboard, various types of floor tiles and carpets can be laid on top. The interior walls adopt a wooden frame structure, with glass wool stuffed between the vertical beams to ensure sound insulation and thermal insulation, and then fixed with nails. Furniture can be customized and installed according to design drawings. The exterior walls can be decorated with cement wall panels or plasterboard and painted with interior wall coatings. In addition to wooden beams, the roof has internally molded decorative panels, with thermal insulation filler stuffed inside the beams. After being covered with wooden boards, solar panels can be placed, and it has independent power supply and drainage systems.
