Prefabricated House Renovation Steps
Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026
The renovation steps for prefabricated houses mainly include several key stages: preliminary planning, demolition and main construction (if necessary), gap treatment, construction in a conventional order, and installation and finishing.

- Preliminary Planning: This is the foundation of the renovation. It involves clarifying the budget, duration of residence, and family needs, such as the number of permanent residents, whether there is a need for a room for the elderly or children, whether the kitchen workflow is reasonable, and where the storage pain points are. At the same time, the renovation style should be determined, and considerations should be given in advance to furniture dimensions, the number of electrical appliances, socket locations, and storage needs to provide a clear direction for subsequent renovations.
- Demolition and Main Construction (if necessary): If there are unreasonable aspects in the house layout, it may involve tasks such as wall demolition, space adjustment, and door opening modification. Before carrying out these operations, it is essential to confirm which walls can be demolished and which are load-bearing structures, as the destruction of load-bearing structures can seriously affect the safety of the house.
- Gap Treatment (for prefabricated panel houses): This is a special step in the renovation of prefabricated houses. First, use a vacuum cleaner to clean the gaps between the prefabricated panels to ensure there is no dust or debris inside. Then, use a special tile adhesive to fill and level the gaps, making them fully filled. After the adhesive dries, apply a waterproofing agent evenly, ensuring no areas are missed to guarantee the waterproofing effect. Finally, after applying the waterproofing agent, allow it to dry for a period of time to complete the waterproofing treatment and prevent future leakage problems.
- Construction in a Conventional Order: This includes stages such as plumbing and electrical work, masonry, and painting. Different construction stages require the preparation of corresponding materials in advance. For example, during the demolition stage, temporary toilets, fire extinguishers, and floor protection films should be prepared; before plumbing and electrical work, purchase wire conduits and pre-filters; before the masonry stage, confirm the tiles, floor drains, and check valves; and before the painting stage, prepare wall consolidators, putty, and mesh cloth to ensure smooth construction.
- Installation and Finishing: Install doors, windows, cabinets, sanitary ware, etc., to complete the final step of the renovation. Then, conduct a final inspection and acceptance, marking acceptance nodes such as 'plumbing acceptance', 'waterproofing acceptance', and 'final acceptance' to ensure that each stage meets quality standards.
