National Standard Dimensions of Prefabricated Houses

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

The national standard dimensions of prefabricated houses mainly involve two parts: prefabricated concrete houses and prefabricated floor slabs, with specific standards as follows:

I. Dimensions of Prefabricated Concrete Houses Prefabricated concrete houses are primarily designed in a modular fashion, facilitating easy transportation and installation. The common standard dimensions are categorized into three types:

  1. 3m × 6m: Suitable for small temporary structures such as construction site offices and duty rooms, offering compact space with clear functionality.
  2. 4m × 8m: Medium-sized, often used for rural self-built houses, storage facilities, or small shops, balancing residential and storage needs.
  3. 5m × 10m: Spacious, ideal for family homes, community activity centers, or commercial buildings, accommodating multiple people or business operations.

For customized requirements, dimensions offer greater flexibility:

  • Width: Typically ranges from 3m to 4m, adjustable in 10cm increments (e.g., 3.1m, 3.2m), with some projects breaking conventions, such as 7.2m or 7.6m.
  • Length: Adjustable based on site conditions, such as 6.6m (outer diameter), with some projects supporting longer custom lengths.
  • Other Parameters: Height and number of floors can be customized, such as single-story or double-story structures, to adapt to different terrains and functional needs.

II. Dimensions of Prefabricated Floor Slabs According to the national standard GB/T 16727-2007 'Prefabricated Concrete Floor Slabs' and industry norms, the core dimensional standards are as follows:

  1. Thickness: Common specifications include 60mm, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm, and 150mm. Among them, residential buildings often use 80-100mm, while industrial buildings commonly use 120-150mm to meet higher load-bearing requirements.
  2. Width: Standard modular designs are 600mm, 900mm, and 1200mm, with some custom specifications reaching 2400mm; common widths also include 500mm, adapting to different span requirements.
  3. Length: Conventional spans range from 2.4m to 6m (residential), with large-span factory buildings reaching 9m to 12m (requiring reinforced reinforcement). Residential prefabricated slabs typically have a maximum span of 4.2m, with longer spans requiring customization; lengths are generally set in 300mm modules (e.g., 3000, 3300, 3600mm), with special cases also including 3800 and 4000mm, but ordinary slabs do not exceed 4200mm in length.

The dimensional design of prefabricated houses must comprehensively consider transportation, installation, functionality, and load-bearing requirements. Standard dimensions are suitable for most scenarios, while customized dimensions can meet personalized needs.
