Prefabricated House Insulation Solutions
Prefabricated house insulation solutions mainly include five aspects: exterior wall insulation, roof insulation, door and window design, composite insulation systems, and construction optimization.

Exterior wall insulation is a crucial aspect, with common methods including attached exterior wall insulation and insulation board plastering exterior wall insulation. By adhering or attaching insulation materials such as polyurethane, extruded polystyrene boards, and expanded polystyrene boards to prefabricated exterior wall panels, an insulation layer is formed to reduce energy loss. For buildings with restricted construction conditions, such as old brick-and-mortar structures, spray-applied polyurethane rigid foam technology can be used. Its ability to automatically fill irregular gaps forms a seamless insulation layer, effectively enhancing insulation performance.
Roof insulation requires the installation of insulation materials, such as roof insulation boards, beneath the roof to reduce the infiltration of cold air from the roof. Simultaneously, it is necessary to consider both waterproofing and ventilation performance, and reasonably set drainage paths to prevent water accumulation from damaging the insulation layer. For example, laying a waterproof and breathable membrane above the insulation layer can both prevent rainwater penetration and expel moisture from inside the wall, extending the service life of the insulation layer.
Door and window design significantly affects insulation performance. Efficient thermal insulation windows and curtains should be selected to reduce heat loss through windows. During installation, it is essential to ensure that the gaps between doors, windows, and walls are completely filled with sealing materials to prevent cold air infiltration. For large prefabricated houses, double-glazed or multi-glazed windows can be used to further block heat transfer through air layers and enhance insulation performance.
Composite insulation systems are suitable for insulated prefabricated concrete houses, integrating insulation material layers through 'sandwich' or external insulation methods. For example, insulation layers can be pre-embedded in prefabricated wall components, or high-performance insulation boards can be attached after the main structure is completed, along with vapor barriers, waterproof and breathable membranes, and exterior finishes to form a systematic insulation project. This system can reduce heat loss and prevent issues such as mold growth and condensation inside walls caused by condensed water.
Construction optimization should focus on blocking thermal bridges. The external insulation system should continuously wrap the exterior surface of the building, including protruding components such as parapets and eaves; use thermal break connectors to fix the insulation layer to prevent metal components from directly penetrating and forming thermal bridges; and seal the areas around windows with prefabricated insulation blocks or foam fillers to ensure no gaps. These measures can significantly enhance the overall insulation effect and reduce energy consumption.
