Power Supply Methods for Container Houses

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The power supply methods for container houses mainly include mains power supply, photovoltaic power supply, energy storage system power supply, and hybrid power supply modes, which need to be designed in combination with specific requirements and safety regulations.

Mains Power Supply

Container houses can meet their basic power needs by connecting to the mains. The power distribution system usually adopts an AC power distribution integrated box. The three-wire power supply is drawn from the mains or the AC side of the energy storage converter. The design needs to consider three-phase balance to ensure the stability of power supply and consumption. The power distribution box needs to connect circuits for air conditioners, lighting, fans, etc., and be equipped with an emergency lighting system to ensure the safe evacuation of personnel in case of a power outage. For example, in the power distribution of a container energy storage system, the mains serves as the main power source for internal loads and is distributed to various equipment through the power distribution box.

Photovoltaic Power Supply

Photovoltaic power generation is a common clean energy power supply method for container houses. By laying monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic panels on the roof, solar energy is converted into direct current, which is then converted into alternating current through an inverter for use. For example, a certain container park adopts a 1.86-megawatt photovoltaic system, with an average annual power generation of 1.4 million kilowatt-hours, meeting the park's power needs and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 1,100 tons. The photovoltaic system needs to be equipped with an energy management and control platform to achieve visual management of the entire process of power generation, distribution, and consumption.

Energy Storage System Power Supply

An energy storage container can integrate core components such as battery packs, battery management systems (BMS), and energy storage converters to achieve the storage and release of electrical energy. After the battery pack stores electrical energy, it converts direct current into alternating current through an energy storage inverter system for use by internal equipment in the container. For example, energy storage containers provide continuous and stable energy for buildings during peak demand periods or unpredictable times and can be integrated with the smart grid to optimize energy utilization.

Hybrid Power Supply Mode

The hybrid power supply mode combining mains power, photovoltaic power, and energy storage systems can improve power supply reliability and economy. For example, container houses can give priority to using photovoltaic power generation, with excess electrical energy stored in the energy storage system; at night or when there is insufficient light, the energy storage system or mains power can be used for supplementary power supply. In addition, some container houses use diesel generators as backup power sources to further ensure power supply continuity.

Safety Design Points

The power supply system needs to comply with electrical safety regulations, including grounding systems, lightning protection systems, and insulation protection. The grounding posts need to be kept clean to ensure good contact, and all grounding points need to be clearly marked; the lightning protection system needs to be connected to the grounding bar through grounding flat steel and meet the requirements of first-level lightning protection. The internal wiring needs to use flame-retardant cables marked with different colors, with a long-term operating temperature of not less than 105°C, and insulation mats should be laid to prevent electric leakage accidents.
