Portable Toilet

Admin 26 de septiembre de 2026

A portable toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides public restroom services. It is suitable for various locations and comes in multiple types with numerous advantages.

Suitable Locations

Portable toilets are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These locations often experience temporary or fixed peaks in pedestrian traffic, making it difficult for traditional fixed toilets to meet the demand. Portable toilets can be flexibly deployed to promptly address restroom needs.

Composition and Structure

They are generally composed of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), flooring, sanitary fixtures, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Different components work together to ensure the normal operation of the toilet. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank collects waste, sanitary fixtures provide convenience for users, and the mobile device facilitates the overall movement of the toilet.

Development History

Initially made from materials like wood, they had simple structures and functions and were prone to absorbing odors. With technological advancements, they gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene, which are more durable and have better odor-resistant properties, enhancing the user experience and lifespan of the toilets.

Type Classification

  • By structural form: They are divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are relatively simple and independent, while composite-structure toilets may integrate more functions or have more complex designs.
  • By mobility method: There are lifting and handling mobile toilets, as well as powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting and handling types rely on external equipment for movement, while powered and towed types have some self-mobility capabilities, allowing for more flexible position adjustments.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are classified into water-flush and waterless suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-pack mobile toilets. Different treatment methods are suitable for different environments and needs. For example, water-flush types offer an experience closer to traditional toilets, while dry-pack types do not require a water source and are suitable for water-scarce areas.

Advantages and Design Principles

They have advantages such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation, and can be used repeatedly. The design follows principles of mobility convenience, economic durability, environmental protection, ecological benefits, efficiency improvement, and humanitarian promotion. The overall structure considers lightness and durability, with controlled height and width, and the mobile device is complete and reasonable.
