Portable Toilet for Public Use

Admin 26 de septiembre de 2026

A portable toilet for public use is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public, featuring mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation.

I. Basic Composition A portable toilet for public use generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device. Its materials have evolved from wood to fiberglass and polyethylene to enhance durability and odor resistance. For example, wood is simple in construction but prone to absorbing odors, while fiberglass and polyethylene are more durable and effectively reduce odors.

II. Classification Methods

  1. By structural form: It can be divided into single-unit mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-unit structures are typically independent units suitable for small-scale use, while composite structures are composed of multiple units and are suitable for high-traffic scenarios.
  2. By mobility method: It can be categorized into lifting and handling mobile toilets and powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting types rely on lifting equipment, handling types require manual or small machinery, powered types are equipped with engines or motors, and towed types can be connected to vehicles for transportation.
  3. By sewage treatment method: It includes water-flush and waterless-flush suction types, recirculating water-flush types, and dry-pack types. Water-flush types require a water connection, waterless-flush types treat feces through chemical or physical means, recirculating water-flush types reuse water through a filtration system, and dry-pack types seal and store feces for periodic cleaning.

III. Application Scenarios It is suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, new residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. Its mobility allows it to quickly respond to temporary needs, such as large events, disaster relief, or construction sites.

IV. Upgraded Versions Some mobile toilets have been upgraded to include a single toilet with a shower room, with a base made of integrated PVC that is durable, waterproof, and moisture-resistant, further expanding their usage scenarios, such as for field operations or temporary residences.

V. Design Principles Design should adhere to the principles of mobility, cost-effectiveness, durability, environmental protection, ecological friendliness, efficiency enhancement, and humanitarian promotion. The overall structure should be lightweight and durable, with controlled height and width to meet transportation requirements. The mobile device should be complete and reasonable to ensure safety and operational convenience.
