Portable Toilet
A portable toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and placed at locations with fixed or temporary needs to provide toilet services for the public and customers.

Suitable Venues
Portable toilets are suitable for a variety of venues, including stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, as well as densely populated public places and bustling commercial streets. These venues often face challenges in setting up traditional fixed toilets due to factors such as high foot traffic, high construction costs, or space constraints. Portable toilets, however, can flexibly meet these needs.
Composition and Structure
A portable toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing facilities, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to ensure the normal use and hygiene of the toilet.
Development History and Materials
Initially, portable toilets were made of materials such as wood, with relatively simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. With technological advancements, they gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene, which offer better durability, water resistance, and corrosion resistance, thereby improving the service life and hygiene level of the toilets.
Classification Methods
Portable toilets can be classified by structural form into single-unit and composite-structure portable toilets; by mobility into hoisting/handling portable toilets and powered/trailer-mounted portable toilets; and by sewage treatment method into water-flush and non-water-flush suction-type portable toilets, circulating water-flush portable toilets, and dry-packing portable toilets. These classification methods help in selecting the appropriate toilet type based on different needs.
Features and Advantages
Portable toilets offer advantages such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation. They can be conveniently transported to any location where toilets are needed and can be reused multiple times, reducing construction costs and resource waste. Additionally, there are some creatively designed portable toilets, such as those made from water storage barrels and ultra-mini portable public toilets built with building blocks, further enriching the forms and functions of portable toilets.
