Portable Packing Toilet
A portable packing toilet is an environmentally friendly sanitation facility that requires no water, electricity, or sewage disposal and can be used immediately upon placement. Its core design concept is to achieve fecal collection and treatment through an independent system, reducing reliance on external infrastructure and making it suitable for temporary or scenarios without fixed sewage disposal conditions. The following provides an explanation from the perspectives of structure, principle, advantages, and application scenarios:

1. Structural Composition
A portable packing toilet typically consists of six core modules:
- Fecal Sewage Storage System: Utilizes a high-density polyethylene or stainless steel fecal storage tank equipped with a sealed packing device to effectively prevent odor leakage. Some models integrate a biodegradable agent dispensing port to accelerate fecal decomposition.
- Sanitary Fixtures: Standard equipment includes a packing-type squat toilet or sit toilet, which automatically seals after each use through mechanical sealing technology to prevent cross-contamination.
- Support Structure: A full 304 stainless steel frame paired with a non-slip floor ensures overall stability and durability, capable of withstanding frequent movement and outdoor environmental challenges.
- Auxiliary Facilities: Includes a sink, water tank (some models equipped with a foot-operated water outlet device), lighting system (optional solar power supply), and ventilation device to enhance user comfort.
- Mobility Device: Equipped with universal wheels or a towing device at the bottom, supporting manual movement or vehicle towing. The weight of a single unit typically ranges from 200 to 500 kg.
- Protective Shell: Uses color-coated steel plate or fiberglass-reinforced plastic walls, paired with a waterproof roof, to achieve rainproof, sunproof, and heat-preservation functions, adapting to environmental temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C.
2. Working Principle
This type of toilet adopts dry packing technology. After feces fall into the fecal storage tank by gravity, they are automatically wrapped by a biodegradable film or sealed bag to form an independent unit. When the capacity of the fecal storage tank reaches 80%, it is cleared by a dedicated sewage suction truck or manual replacement, requiring no water flushing or chemical agents throughout the process. The cleaning cycle can last 30-60 days per time (depending on usage frequency).
3. Core Advantages
- Strong Environmental Adaptability: No need to connect to municipal sewage networks, enabling rapid deployment in remote areas such as mountains, deserts, and islands to solve temporary sewage disposal problems.
- Significant Resource Conservation: Single-use water consumption is less than 0.1L (only for hand washing), saving over 95% of water compared to traditional water-flush toilets.
- Low Operation and Maintenance Costs: Modular design supports rapid assembly and disassembly. The cost of cleaning the fecal storage tank is only one-third of that of emptying a septic tank, and there is no risk of fines for sewage discharge.
- Reliable Hygiene and Safety: The sealed design blocks the transmission path of pathogens and complies with the requirements of the "Urban Public Toilet Hygiene Standard" (GB/T 17217-2021).
4. Typical Application Scenarios
- Tourist Attractions: Installed in areas without sewage networks, such as mountaintops and canyons, to solve toilet problems for tourists.
- Large-Scale Events: Standardized sanitation facilities for temporary venues such as music festivals and sports events, supporting daily usage by 500-2000 people.
- Disaster Relief: Emergency sanitation support for earthquakes, floods, and other emergencies, enabling the deployment of toilet facilities for a 1000-person camp within 48 hours.
- Construction Sites: Replaces traditional septic tanks to reduce environmental pollution during construction and complies with green building evaluation standards.
This technology has passed ISO 9001 quality management system certification and has been verified for its reliability in extreme environment projects such as the Qinghai Sanjiangyuan and Everest Base Camp, becoming an important development direction for modern environmentally friendly sanitation facilities.
