Portable Home Toilet Solutions

Admin 24 de septiembre de 2026

There are mainly three solutions for portable home toilets:

1. Create a movable toilet using a water storage tank This solution requires modifying the water storage tank with tools: First, use an angle grinder to split the tank in half. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for mobility. Attach wooden strips to the upper side of the tank with self-tapping screws to increase height. Cut an opening on the side of the tank and install sponge strips on both sides to form a door frame. Insert plastic soft boards between the wooden strips to create raised walls. Place the upper half of the tank on top of the wooden strips as a roof, and paint the wooden strips with white waterproof paint for aesthetics. Make a simple door by joining waste honeycomb wooden boards with foam strips. Drill a hole at the bottom of the tank and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain. Drill holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket and install direct connectors, then place the bucket on the roof as a small water storage device. Connect the homemade bath heater made of water pipes, install a tee under the inlet pipe and connect a showerhead. Place the toilet on the drain pipe opening, install the water tank, and secure it with glass glue. Connect the drain pipe to a sewage tank. Horizontally connect a water pipe to the outlet pipe tee and extend it to the door as an inlet pipe for the sink, and drill holes in the door to install connectors. This solution requires some hands-on skills but is cost-effective and offers comprehensive functions, meeting needs such as toilet use and washing.

2. Purchase a portable commode This solution is suitable for the elderly, pregnant women, and others with limited mobility at home. Portable commodes usually feature a deeper bucket with handles and a lid for easy movement and hygiene. Their simple structure requires no complex installation and can be placed directly where needed. They are also easy to clean after use.

3. Purchase a mobile toilet Mobile toilets can be placed in various settings such as living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. They feature a stool-style flip cover design that effectively prevents odors and is easy to clean. Some models can be used with garbage bags, further simplifying the cleaning process. Mobile toilets are generally compact, taking up little space, and are highly mobile, meeting both temporary and long-term household needs.
