These mobile toilets are usually placed in concealed locations along Chang'an Avenue. From the outside, they are not significantly different from ordinary support vehicles, providing good camouflage and not affecting the solemn atmosphere of the parade.

Although they have an ordinary appearance, the interiors of mobile toilets are equipped with modern toilet facilities. For example, there are independent compartments with ultraviolet disinfection. This design can effectively kill bacteria and viruses, ensuring the hygiene and safety of the usage environment and providing healthy usage conditions for officers and soldiers. Moreover, the excrement is pumped to a treatment station through vacuum pipes. This treatment method is efficient and environmentally friendly, preventing the excrement from polluting the surrounding environment.

The configurations of mobile toilets vary in different years' parades. Taking the 2019 parade as an example, 20 white van-type trucks were parked along Chang'an Avenue as mobile toilets. These mobile toilets automatically replaced their activated carbon filters every hour, further ensuring the air quality inside the toilets and reducing odors.
