Specifications of Container Houses in Panyu District

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

Container houses in Panyu District come in a variety of specifications, including custom sizes produced by local enterprises and internationally standardized sizes. They can be divided into the following two categories:

I. Custom Specifications Produced by Local Enterprises
Some enterprises in Panyu District produce non-standard container houses according to market demand, with common specifications being mainly small to medium-sized. For example, Guangzhou Dingshen Construction and Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. produces container houses with dimensions of 3 meters (width) × 6 meters (length) × 2.7 meters (height). These specifications are typically used for temporary offices, construction site dormitories, or small commercial purposes, with compact internal spaces but complete functions. Guangzhou Jiuyi Container Co., Ltd. offers rental services for residential containers with dimensions of 3 meters × 6 meters. The height may be slightly adjusted according to the design, but overall, they are characterized by being lightweight and easy to transport, suitable for short-term use scenarios. The advantage of such custom specifications lies in their high flexibility, allowing for adjustments in size according to site or functional requirements. However, it should be noted that there may be differences in production processes among different enterprises, and specific parameters need to be confirmed in advance.

II. Internationally Standardized Specifications
The universal dimensions of container houses originate from international shipping container standards and are mainly divided into the following three types:

  1. 20-foot Standard Container: With external dimensions of 6.058 meters (length) × 2.438 meters (width) × 2.591 meters (height), the internal usable space is approximately 14-15 square meters, suitable for single or double occupancy, or as a small warehouse or tool room.
  2. 40-foot Standard Container: With external dimensions of 12.192 meters (length) × 2.438 meters (width) × 2.591 meters (height), the internal area is approximately 28-30 square meters, which can be transformed into multi-room residences, offices, or shops, with high space utilization.
  3. 40-foot High Cube Container: With external dimensions of 12.192 meters (length) × 2.438 meters (width) × 2.896 meters (height), the height is 30 centimeters higher than that of a standard container, suitable for scenarios requiring higher ceiling heights, such as exhibition halls, gyms, or residential spaces with loft designs.

The advantages of international standard containers lie in their uniform specifications, sturdy structures, and ease of global transportation and stacking. However, it should be noted that their width is fixed at 2.438 meters, which may limit some interior layout designs. Additionally, the modification of standard containers must comply with building codes, especially when involving structural alterations or long-term use, to ensure safety.
