Usage of Outdoor Portable Toilets

Admin 22 de septiembre de 2026

The usage of outdoor portable toilets requires selecting the operation method based on the type. When renting, safety should be ensured through site selection, securing, counterweighting, and regular inspection and maintenance.

I. Usage Method of Portable Mobile Toilets

Portable mobile toilets are usually designed as detachable structures, and the operation steps are as follows:

  1. Fixing and Assembly: Preferably place on a flat surface and use the built-in buckle design of the toilet to secure the structure. For some models, certain components (such as the seat ring or black water tank) need to be removed according to the buckles, and the reverse operation is performed during installation.
  2. Toilet Flushing and Cleaning: Water can be pre-filled inside for toilet flushing. After use, remove the black water tank according to the buckles, pour the waste into designated disposal points (such as septic tanks or garbage stations), clean it, and then reinstall it.
  3. Precautions: Avoid using on inclined or soft ground to prevent tipping over; the black water tank should be cleaned in a timely manner to prevent odor diffusion or bacterial growth.

II. Safety Fixing Measures for Rented Outdoor Portable Toilets

The stability of rented large-scale portable toilets should be ensured through the following steps:

  1. Site Selection and Foundation Inspection

    • Select a flat area with good drainage, avoiding low-lying areas prone to water accumulation or slopes.
    • If the ground is soft (such as muddy or sandy ground), it should be paved with gravel, wooden boards, or concrete slabs in advance to enhance load-bearing capacity.
    • Check whether the supporting feet at the bottom of the toilet are intact, without cracks or deformation, and ensure that the contact surface is flat.
  2. Ground Anchor Fixing Method

    • At the four corners of the toilet or key load-bearing positions (such as door frames and wall connections), use expansion screws or ground anchor nails to connect the fixing chains (straps) to the ground.
    • If the site allows, concrete blocks or counterweight blocks can be driven into the bottom, and the depth of the ground anchors should exceed 30 centimeters to prevent displacement caused by strong winds or human collisions.
  3. Windbreak Ropes and Diagonal Fixing

    • Install windbreak ropes on the top of the toilet and fix the other end to ground stakes or heavy objects (such as stone piers or sandbags) on the ground to form a triangular support structure.
    • When the wind is strong (such as during a typhoon warning), a “well”-shaped diagonal pulling method can be adopted to increase lateral stability.
  4. Additional Counterweight Plan

    • Add heavy objects such as sandbags or water tanks to the corners inside the toilet or at the bottom outside the toilet. The counterweights should be evenly distributed to avoid tilting due to excessive weight on one side.
    • The counterweight objects should be firmly fixed to prevent sliding or falling off.
  5. Regular Inspection and Emergency Reinforcement

    • After the end of each day during the event, check whether the fixing devices (such as ground anchors and windbreak ropes) are loose, and tighten the screws or adjust the tension of the ropes in a timely manner.
    • In case of rainfall, strong winds, or earthquake warnings, reinforce the counterweights in advance or increase the number of windbreak ropes.
    • If slight tilting of the toilet is found, stop using it immediately, readjust the fixing measures, and check the ground foundation.
