Building Container Houses in Orchards

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Building container houses in orchards offers multiple advantages, including convenient construction, diverse functions, cost-effectiveness, and strong mobility.

Convenient and Efficient Construction: Container houses are produced using modular prefabrication. On-site, they only need to be hoisted into place and connected to water and electricity to be put into use. Compared to traditional civil engineering projects, there is no need for large-scale foundation pouring and complex construction. The construction period is significantly shortened, usually taking only a few days to a couple of dozen days to complete the setup. This can quickly meet the housing needs of orchards, especially suitable for scenarios that require urgent use.

Diverse Functions and Uses: In orchards, container houses can be transformed into various functional spaces. They can serve as reception desks for farmhouses, enhancing the park's image; they can be turned into rural coffee shops or leisure tea rooms, providing leisure spots for tourists; and they can also be used as sales points for agricultural products, facilitating the sale of orchard products. Additionally, during the peak season of fruit and vegetable picking, Class A fire-resistant containers can meet the accommodation needs of workers. During the off-season, the containers can be relocated as a whole, avoiding the waste of idle buildings.

Low Economic Cost: The construction cost of container houses is much lower than that of traditional brick-and-mortar houses. Their prefabricated production and rapid setup features reduce labor and time costs. Moreover, maintenance is simple afterward, with basically no need for additional large investments. At the same time, when the orchard's planning is adjusted or the land is no longer in use, the containers can be hoisted away as a whole, leaving no permanent buildings, resulting in lower initial investment, a shorter construction period, and reduced economic risks.

Strong Mobility: Container houses are placed on elevated foundation piers, eliminating the need for large-scale land excavation and causing minimal damage to the original landscape. Their mobile nature allows for easy relocation of the container houses to new positions when the overall planning of the orchard is adjusted, enabling the land to be restored to its original state and preventing the fixed buildings from affecting the orchard's subsequent development.
