No-Flush Mobile Toilet

Admin 21 de septiembre de 2026

A no-flush mobile toilet is an environmentally friendly toilet that can handle waste without the need for traditional water flushing. In China, it is known as an environmentally friendly toilet, ecological toilet, or mobile toilet, and its international generic name is a waterless sanitation toilet.

Diverse Types with Different Technical Principles

  1. Microbial Degradation Type: This type of toilet uses a composite microbial community to process waste. The microbial community can operate stably at a low temperature of 40°C, converting waste into harmless organic fertilizer through biological degradation. It completely breaks free from the constraints of water supply networks and is suitable for scenarios where conventional public toilets cannot be installed, such as remote areas or temporary event venues.
  2. Mechanical Packaging Type: This type employs physical packaging technology and does not require a water, electricity, or sewage system. Waste is sealed and collected in biodegradable film bags, making the toilet ready for use immediately upon placement. It is particularly suitable for locations without infrastructure, such as mountainous areas in scenic spots, outdoor camping sites, and large-scale event venues, preventing secondary pollution.

Technical Standards and Scope of Application
This type of toilet must comply with the GB/T18092-2000 'Waterless Sanitation Toilet' standard, which came into effect on October 1, 2000. The standard clearly specifies the design, materials, and performance requirements for waterless sanitation toilets, ensuring their hygiene and safety under conditions without water supply and drainage. Its core advantages lie in resource recycling and environmental adaptability: the microbial degradation type achieves fecal resource utilization through microbial activity, while the mechanical packaging type prevents pollution spread through sealed collection. Both significantly reduce water consumption and sewage disposal costs.

Wide Range of Application Scenarios

  1. Ecologically Sensitive Areas: Such as nature reserves and areas around water sources, to avoid environmental damage caused by traditional toilets.
  2. Temporary Event Venues: Short-term events like music festivals and sports competitions, where the toilet can be quickly deployed without the need for supporting infrastructure.
  3. Areas with Weak Infrastructure: Remote villages and post-disaster reconstruction areas, addressing basic sanitation needs while reducing reliance on municipal sewage networks.

Significant Environmental Benefits
Compared to traditional water-flush toilets, this type of toilet can reduce water consumption by more than 90% and avoid sewage discharge through biological degradation or packaged collection, effectively lowering the risk of water pollution. Its resource-based treatment model (such as conversion into organic fertilizer) aligns more closely with the concept of a circular economy, promoting the development of the toilet revolution towards a green and low-carbon direction.
