Ningxia Mobile Toilet Project
The Ningxia Mobile Toilet Project covers project overview, design and construction standards, specific cases, as well as the current market development status and demand, aiming to address the issue of 'difficulty in finding toilets' in temporary settings and promote intelligent and customized development.

I. Project Overview
Mobile toilets in Ningxia are primarily used in temporary settings such as scenic spots, construction sites, and exhibitions. Taking Shapotou Scenic Spot as an example, during the peak season, it receives over 20,000 tourists per day on average, requiring the configuration of 50-80 mobile toilets. The core objectives of the project are to ensure construction quality, timely delivery, and effectively alleviate toilet pressure for residents and tourists through scientific allocation of toilet numbers and functional zoning.
II. Design and Construction Standards
The design strictly adheres to the 'Urban Public Toilet Design Standard,' with a female-to-male toilet ratio of 5:3. Barrier-free facilities comply with the 'Barrier-Free Design Code.' Considering Ningxia's climatic characteristics, the seismic fortification intensity is set at 8 degrees, the roof wind load resistance is ≥0.55kN/m², and the thermal insulation performance meets extreme low-temperature environments of -25℃. Construction adopts a combined mode of factory prefabrication and on-site installation. Each toilet covers an area of 20 square meters, designed in a standard module of 3m×6m, with a lightweight steel structure frame as the main structure, double-layer color steel plates filled with rock wool insulation for the walls, and a gutter system on the roof. The internal functional zoning is clear, including male and female toilet areas, a dedicated room for the disabled, and an independent handwashing area, equipped with an intelligent control system.
III. Specific Project Cases
Taking the Xingying Eighth Team Bungalow Area Project in Xixia District, Yinchuan City as an example, the public toilet passed acceptance and opened for operation on August 15, 2025. The main structure is a composite steel structure with a building area of 28 square meters, featuring 6 shared squatting positions for men and women, an intelligent control room, and a management room. Supporting facilities include tap water supply, septic tank sewage disposal, and electric floor heating, with the entire house equipped with an intelligent control system for efficient management.
IV. Market Development Status and Demand
In 2023, the market size for mobile toilets in Ningxia grew by approximately 15% year-on-year, but the penetration rate remains below the national average, indicating significant market potential. Scenic spots, construction sites, and exhibitions are the three major demand sectors, with demand showing a diversified trend. In the future, intelligence and customization will become the mainstream directions. IoT technology can enable remote monitoring of equipment status, and solar power systems can reduce operation and maintenance costs. Meanwhile, the rural revitalization strategy will gradually release the demand for temporary event toilets in rural areas.
