New Type Prefabricated House
The new type prefabricated house, also known as modular construction, involves breaking down a building into independent modules, prefabricating them in a factory, and then transporting them to the site for assembly.

Construction Process: Ceilings, floors, water and electricity pipelines, and other components of the house are prefabricated on a factory assembly line. Taking the China Construction Hailong Intelligent Construction Industrial Park in Shenzhen, Guangdong as an example, ceilings, walls, bathroom waterproof layers, etc., are produced within the park. Scattered components are first produced separately on the second or third floor and then sent to the assembly station for final assembly using welding robots and highly automated methods. Finally, they are transported to the site and assembled like building blocks.
Advantages:
- Short Construction Period: Compared to traditional construction, the construction period can be shortened by more than 60%. For example, in a public housing project in Shenzhen, Guangdong, five residential buildings nearly 100 meters high were assembled from 6,028 concrete modules, reducing the completion and delivery time from 2.5 to 3 years to just 1 year.
- Controllable Quality: Each 'building block' has a detailed 'ID card' containing information such as the project name, product model, and production date. The position of each steel bar is precisely located, with errors and precision controlled in millimeters.
- Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection: Most construction processes are completed in the factory, with on-site casting for connections, significantly reducing noise, dust, construction waste, and traffic congestion at the construction site.
- Easy Maintenance: Flexible maintenance with continuously expanding application scenarios.
- Strong Adaptability: It can meet the needs of different scenarios, such as high-end office buildings, hotels, schools, modular data centers, and other diverse categories.
- Rapid Delivery: Building modules have completed water and electricity installation and interior decoration in the factory and can be directly assembled on-site upon arrival at the destination.
Structure: It adopts a steel-concrete composite structure, with a 40% increase in steel usage compared to traditional reinforced concrete structures, providing greater load-bearing capacity and better seismic performance, and the layout can be adjusted at any time.
Market Situation: As a characteristic and advantageous category in China's equipment manufacturing exports, the overseas market recognition of domestically produced 'prefabricated houses' continues to rise. In the first seven months of this year, the Shatian Customs under the Huangpu Customs supervised the export of 23 batches of modular houses, with a total value of 548 million yuan, a 7.3-fold increase year-on-year; Guangdong CIMC Construction Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s products cover more than 20 countries and regions, including the UK and Australia, with modular construction delivery reaching 59.772 million yuan in the first half of this year. According to market research institution predictions, the global modular construction market size will exceed 142.8 billion US dollars by 2030.
