Dimensions of New-Type Mobile Toilets
The dimensions of new-type mobile toilets vary depending on their type and usage scenarios. Below are the common standard dimensions and requirements for internal functional areas:

Single-compartment mobile toilets typically have a length of 1.2-1.5 meters, a width of 1.0-1.2 meters, and a height of 2.2-2.5 meters. These toilets are compact in structure, suitable for construction sites, small events, and other scenarios with limited space or temporary needs. Their design must meet basic usage functions while considering the convenience of transportation and installation.
Double-compartment mobile toilets have a length of 2.4-3.0 meters, a width of 1.2-1.5 meters, and a height of 2.2-2.5 meters. Compared to single-compartment toilets, their expanded space can accommodate more functional modules (such as dual toilet compartments or a toilet compartment + a management room), making them suitable for large events, tourist attractions, and other crowded places that require higher frequency of use.
Multi-functional mobile toilets have a length of 3.0-4.5 meters, a width of 2.0-2.5 meters, and a height of 2.5-3.0 meters. These toilets are usually equipped with separate toilet areas, sinks, management rooms, etc., and are suitable for high-end events and long-term fixed locations (such as parks and commercial areas). Their design must balance functionality and comfort, with some models also incorporating barrier-free facilities or intelligent equipment.
The dimensions of internal functional areas must strictly adhere to regulations:
- Toilet Area: The net width of the toilet compartment should not be less than 0.85 meters, with an ideal range of 0.9-1.0 meters to ensure sufficient space for users; the net depth should be 1.2-1.5 meters to accommodate a toilet or squat pan and necessary operating space; the door width should be no less than 0.6 meters to facilitate easy entry and exit and emergency rescue.
- Barrier-Free Toilet Compartment: The internal net width should be at least 1.5 meters, and the net depth should be at least 1.8 meters to accommodate wheelchair rotation and assistance from caregivers. Such designs must comply with the mandatory provisions regarding barrier-free facilities in the Design Standard for Urban Public Toilets (CJJ 14-2016), including supporting equipment such as handrails and emergency call devices.
All dimension designs must be based on the Design Standard for Urban Public Toilets (CJJ 14-2016) to ensure that basic performance requirements such as ventilation, lighting, and odor control are met, while also taking into account humanized needs (such as special configurations for children's toilet compartments and baby changing stations). In actual production, manufacturers may make slight adjustments to dimensions according to customer needs, but core parameters must comply with national standards to ensure usage safety and compliance.
