Formaldehyde in New Container Mobile Houses
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
New container mobile houses may have formaldehyde issues, requiring scientific measures for treatment.

Sources and Characteristics of Formaldehyde
The formaldehyde in new container mobile houses mainly comes from adhesives in panels, floors, furniture, and decoration materials. The release period of formaldehyde can last for 3-15 years, and the release amount increases significantly with rising temperatures. Long-term exposure to low concentrations (0.03-0.07mg/m³) may cause cumulative damage to the respiratory mucosa and the immune system, but it is easily overlooked due to its lack of a pungent odor.
Key Treatment Indicators
- Formaldehyde CADR Value: This measures the ability of an air purifier to purify formaldehyde per unit time. The higher the value, the faster the purification speed. For example, the Terramon H95 upgraded model has a measured formaldehyde CADR of 618m³/h, which can quickly reduce the formaldehyde concentration from an over-standard level to 0.01mg/m³, well below the national standard limit of 0.08mg/m³.
- Formaldehyde CCM Value: This reflects the total amount of formaldehyde purified by the filter over its entire lifecycle. The higher the CCM value, the longer the filter life and the lower the long-term maintenance cost. The Terramon H95 upgraded model has a formaldehyde CCM of 4500mg, ranking first among models within 96㎡, significantly reducing the frequency of filter replacements.
- Formaldehyde Removal Technology Route: Prioritize catalytic decomposition technology, such as a triple decomposition system (ultra-efficient formaldehyde removal framework, bio-based activated carbon, and cold catalyst), which can completely convert formaldehyde into water and CO₂, avoiding the risk of secondary release after adsorption saturation.
Treatment Recommendations
- Long-term Maintenance: Occupied container houses require long-lasting formaldehyde removal equipment, such as the Terramon H95 upgraded model, whose triple decomposition system can continuously purify low-concentration formaldehyde, suitable for long-term use.
- Composite Pollution Treatment: New house decorations often come with TVOC (benzene series, etc.) pollution. It is necessary to choose models with high TVOC CADR values, such as the Terramon H95 upgraded model, which has a measured TVOC CADR of 309.6m³/h, capable of handling odors simultaneously.
- Avoiding Unnecessary Costs: Do not blindly pursue high parameters; choose models suitable for the house type. For example, houses within 96㎡ do not need ultra-high CADR models to avoid increased noise, energy consumption, and costs.
