Most Common Types of Mobile Toilets
Admin 19 de octubre de 2026
The most common types of mobile toilets can be summarized as follows based on different classification criteria:

I. Classification by Material
- Plastic Toilets: Made from high-density polyethylene and other plastics, they are lightweight and low-cost, commonly used in temporary construction sites. Their simple structure allows for quick assembly, but they have relatively weak durability and are suitable for short-term use.
- Color-Steel Toilets: Built with color-coated steel sheets, they offer thermal and sound insulation, with a neat appearance, often found in public areas like parks and streets. Their modular design facilitates expansion, meeting medium- to short-term usage needs.
- Fiberglass Toilets: Manufactured through integral molding processes, they are impact-resistant and corrosion-resistant, suitable for extreme environments like disaster relief. Their strong sealing prevents odor leakage, but transportation costs are high.
- Tent-Style Toilets: Constructed with waterproof canvas or PVC materials, they are easy to assemble and disassemble, requiring no fixed foundation, commonly used in temporary exhibitions and sports events. They are highly flexible but have weak wind resistance, requiring regular structural maintenance.
II. Classification by Mobility Method
- Lifting-Type Mobile Toilets: Transported as a whole by cranes, they are suitable for construction sites that require long-term fixation but may need relocation. They are large in size, with complete internal facilities, and can be equipped with water flushing or microbial degradation systems.
- Trailer-Type Mobile Toilets: Mounted on wheels and towed by vehicles, they are ideal for highly mobile scenarios like music festivals and large gatherings. Their interiors typically use waterless packing or foam sealing technologies to reduce reliance on external facilities.
III. Classification by Sewage Treatment Method
- Waterless Packing Type: Uses biodegradable plastic bags to seal excreta, requiring no water source or sewage pipes, commonly found in water-scarce areas like deserts and plateaus. They are simple to operate but require regular garbage bag replacement to avoid environmental pollution.
- Traditional Water Flush Type: Cleans the toilet bowl with a water tank and flushing system, requiring connection to tap water and sewage pipes, offering good hygiene conditions, often used in areas with complete infrastructure like scenic spots and service areas.
- Foam Sealing Type: Generates foam with a foaming device to cover the toilet bowl, isolating odors and reducing flushing water volume, being water-saving and environmentally friendly, suitable for areas with water shortages.
- Microbial Degradation Type: Uses aerobic microorganisms to decompose excreta, ultimately converting it into organic fertilizer, being eco-friendly, commonly found in ecological parks and farms. Their treatment cycle is long, requiring regular addition of microbial strains.
