Modular Container House

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

A modular container house is a building form that divides a building into independent modules, prefabricates them in a factory, and then transports them to the site for assembly. It is characterized by flexibility, efficiency, and environmental friendliness.

Design and Construction Features

Modular container houses divide an entire building into individual housing modules. All processes, including the main structure, water and electricity pipelines, bathroom waterproofing, bathroom fixtures, cabinets, and wardrobes, are completed inside the factory. Standardized 'components' are manufactured like automobiles and then transported to the project site for assembly, similar to building with blocks. For example, a structural modular smart factory in Guangdong uses fully automated production lines and robotic collaboration to disassemble a house into six components: the bottom, top, and four sides. These components are produced simultaneously on multiple sub-production lines and then assembled into a complete container at the end of the production line, with a daily output of up to 50 modules.

Performance Advantages

  • Structural Stability: Using a steel frame structure, it offers excellent wind and earthquake resistance. For instance, the packing boxes from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. have been tested to withstand wind speeds of up to Level 12 and earthquakes of up to Level 8, with a frame deformation rate of only 0.18%.
  • Safety Protection: It provides multiple protective properties, including fire resistance, thermal insulation, heat insulation, waterproof sealing, wind resistance, earthquake resistance, and corrosion and rust prevention, making it suitable for various complex usage environments.
  • Rapid Deployment and Recovery: The product can be hoisted and deployed within one hour, requiring no wet work throughout the process. After use, it can be folded and transported, supporting repeated turnover and use.

Application Scenarios

  • Office Sector: For example, an office composed of three containers covers an area of approximately 45 square meters. It features a well-planned and efficient layout with independent workstations and a conference table, and can be flexibly relocated according to corporate needs.
  • Residential Sector: It can be used for temporary resettlement, cultural tourism homestays, overseas cross-border projects, etc. For example, the 'block houses' manufactured in Jingjiang have received orders from North America. These independent modules are packed into containers for transoceanic transportation and are directly assembled on-site upon arrival, delivering fully furnished residential products.
  • Emergency Support: Foldable containers, with their portability and low cost, have become a popular choice for emergency rescue scenarios. They can be quickly transported, saving on transportation and storage costs.
