What Wind Resistance Level Can Mobile Toilets Withstand?

Admin 19 de octubre de 2026

The wind resistance level of mobile toilets typically ranges from 6 to 12, depending on their type and design. The specific level needs to be determined based on the usage scenario and structural characteristics.

The wind resistance level of conventional standard mobile toilets is generally between 8 and 10 (corresponding to wind speeds of 17.2–28.4 m/s). These products often use anti-corrosion galvanized steel sheets, aluminum alloys, or engineering plastics as the main materials, with wear-resistant and weather-resistant coatings on the surface. They are fixed at the bottom with expansion bolts or counterweights. Their design meets the daily usage needs of construction sites, municipal areas, and ordinary scenic spots, maintaining structural stability under non-extreme weather conditions.

High-end or scenic-area-specific models can withstand wind levels up to 12 (wind speeds of 32.7–36.9 m/s), primarily suitable for strong wind environments such as coastal areas and open high-wind zones. These products usually adopt steel frame structures, with the frame surface treated with triple anti-rust processes. Some modular booth-style designs are reinforced with steel structures, effectively resisting extreme weather such as typhoons. For example, prefabricated mobile toilets that meet national standards have a load-bearing structure of frame-type steel, with wind resistance performance not lower than level 10; a few steel structure products designed for extreme scenarios can even reach a wind resistance level of 12.

Simple or lightweight models have a wind resistance level of 6–8, suitable only for low wind speed and temporary scenarios. These products often use lightweight materials, with simplified structures, and rely on counterweights or simple anchoring for bottom fixation, making them suitable for short-term events or low-risk areas.

In addition, the wind resistance performance of biodegradable ecological mobile toilets needs to be evaluated based on the frame material: if reinforced with national standard steel, the wind resistance level generally does not exceed 10; if the frame strength is insufficient, it may only reach around level 8.

Summary: The wind resistance capability of mobile toilets is closely related to materials, structure, and fixation methods. For conventional scenarios, choosing products with a wind resistance level of 8–10 is sufficient; for strong wind areas, prioritize high-end models with a level of 12; for temporary scenarios, simple models with a level of 6–8 can be selected. When purchasing, clarify the wind speed level of the usage environment and refer to the wind resistance design descriptions in the product technical parameters.
