How to Install Water Pipes for Mobile Toilets
Admin 05 de octubre de 2026
The installation of water pipes for mobile toilets requires separate handling based on the water supply system and the drainage system. The core steps include preliminary planning, pipe connection, and testing and acceptance. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Water Supply System Installation
Preliminary Preparation
- Water Supply Point Selection: Ensure that the distance between the water supply point and the toilet is not too long to reduce water pressure loss. Prioritize the use of pressure-resistant water supply pipes (such as PPR pipes or galvanized steel pipes). The burial depth should be below the local frost line, and the pipes should be wrapped with insulation materials (such as rubber-plastic sponges) to prevent freezing and cracking in winter.
- Water Quality Treatment: Before connection, flush the main pipeline to remove impurities. Confirm that the water quality meets standards before connecting it to the equipment's water inlet to avoid clogging the filtration device or damaging the equipment.
Connection Operations
- Filtration and Pressure Reduction: Install a filtration device (such as a Y-type filter) and a pressure relief valve at the water inlet end to prevent excessive water pressure or impurities from entering the equipment. Water pipe joints should adopt anti-disconnection designs (such as clamp-type joints) and be wrapped with insulation layers.
- Electrical Safety: If electrical wiring is involved (such as power supply for water pumps), it should be operated by a professional electrician. An independent leakage protector should be installed in the main circuit, and cable colors should be distinguished according to regulations (e.g., red for live wires, blue for neutral wires, and yellow-green for ground wires).
Testing and Acceptance
- After connection, conduct a continuous water flow test for at least 30 minutes, checking for interface leakage at each point, with a focus on observing connections such as elbows and tees.
II. Drainage System Installation
Pipe Planning
- Pipe Diameter and Slope: The diameter of the drainage pipe should be larger than the outlet size of the equipment (e.g., if the equipment outlet is 50mm, a 75mm drainage pipe should be selected). Cleanout ports should be installed every 5-10 meters for easy maintenance. The pipe slope should be maintained at 2%-5% (i.e., a drop of 2-5 cm per meter) to ensure smooth drainage.
- Tool Preparation: When using PVC drainage pipes, prepare pipe fittings (elbows, tees, etc.), special glue, tape measures, saws, and other tools.
Pipe Connection
- Glue Application: Apply PVC special glue evenly on the outside of the pipe spigot and the inside of the fitting socket, quickly insert and rotate 90 degrees, and maintain pressure for a dozen seconds to ensure full adhesion of the glue.
- Trap and Flexible Joints: Install a trap (with a water seal height of ≥50mm) separately for each drainage unit to prevent odor backflow. Use flexible joints (such as rubber flexible joints) at connections to compensate for pipe displacement caused by temperature changes or vibrations.
Fixing and Testing
- Pipe Fixing: Fix the main pipeline according to the planned route (e.g., using pipe clamps or brackets), and check and adjust the slope again to avoid local water accumulation.
- Drainage Testing: After connection, conduct a drainage load test by pouring an appropriate amount of water to observe the drainage flow rate and pipe sealing conditions, with a focus on checking for leakage at traps and flexible joints.
III. General Precautions
- Embedded Pipes: During foundation construction, embed water supply pipes and drainage pipes simultaneously. The water supply pipes should be buried below the frost line, and the drainage pipes should maintain a continuous slope.
- Pipe End Plugging: Temporarily plug all pipe ends (e.g., with plastic sheets or tape) before the equipment is in place to prevent foreign objects from entering.
- Final Inspection: After installation, visually inspect the integrity of the interfaces and conduct a water flow test to verify the system's sealing performance, ensuring no leakage or blockage.
