Various Classifications of Mobile Toilets

Admin 26 de septiembre de 2026

Mobile toilets can be classified in various ways, mainly including six categories: structural form, material, mobility method, sewage treatment method, usage location, and function.

Based on structural form, mobile toilets are divided into single-unit structures and composite structures. Single-unit structures are highly independent and suitable for scenarios with limited space; composite structures are composed of multiple single units, offering strong scalability and are commonly seen at large events or temporary communities.

Based on material, mobile toilets can be categorized into plastic, color-steel, fiberglass-reinforced plastic, and tent-style. Plastic toilets are lightweight and cost-effective, suitable for temporary use at construction sites; color-steel toilets have good heat and sound insulation, an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and are often found in parks or on streets; fiberglass-reinforced plastic toilets are molded as a whole, highly impact-resistant, and suitable for extreme environments such as disaster relief and emergency rescue; tent-style toilets are easy to assemble and disassemble, suitable for short-term events or emergency scenarios.

Based on mobility method, mobile toilets are divided into lifting/handling types and powered/trailer types. Lifting/handling types rely on mechanical equipment for movement and are suitable for fixed locations like construction sites; powered/trailer types have their own power or can be towed, offering high flexibility and are suitable for large events such as music festivals.

Based on sewage treatment method, mobile toilets are classified into waterless packing types, ordinary water-flushing types, water-saving flushing types, high-pressure soda-water flushing types, foam-sealing types, microbial degradation types, and vacuum self-priming water-flushing types. Waterless packing types do not require a water source and are suitable for desert camping; ordinary water-flushing types need to be connected to sewage pipes and are commonly found in scenic spots; water-saving flushing types and high-pressure soda-water flushing types reduce water consumption by optimizing the flushing method; foam-sealing types cover odors with foam, saving water and being environmentally friendly; microbial degradation types convert excrement into fertilizer and are suitable for ecological parks; vacuum self-priming water-flushing types use negative pressure for rapid sewage discharge and are commonly seen on high-speed trains.

Based on usage location, mobile toilets are divided into economical and practical types, urban modern types, garden landscape types, and star-rated standard types. Economical and practical types have low costs and are suitable for construction sites or temporary events; urban modern types have a simple design and are suitable for streets or squares; garden landscape types blend with the natural environment and are often found in parks; star-rated standard types have high-end configurations and are commonly seen in high-end venues.

Based on function, mobile toilets are divided into ordinary types, water-flushing types, environmentally friendly types, and intelligent types. Ordinary types have a simple structure and are suitable for temporary locations; water-flushing types add a flushing system to meet high hygiene requirements; environmentally friendly types adopt water-saving or renewable energy technologies and are suitable for ecological tourism areas; intelligent types integrate automatic sensing and energy-saving technologies and are commonly found in high-end commercial districts or hospitals.
