Installation of Under-Counter Basin in Mobile Toilets
Admin 10 de octubre de 2026
The installation of under-counter basins in mobile toilets requires attention to pre-installation preparation, the installation process, and detail control to ensure stability and aesthetics. The specific key points are as follows:

Pre-Installation Preparation
- Precise Selection: Choose the type of under-counter basin based on the size of the mobile toilet space and usage habits. For small spaces, a single-basin under-counter basin can be selected, with common dimensions of length 48 - 68cm, width 40 - 45cm, and depth 17 - 25cm. For larger spaces requiring simultaneous handling of multiple cleaning tasks, a double-basin under-counter basin can be chosen, with common dimensions of length 70 - 85cm, width 40 - 45cm, and height 17 - 25cm. In terms of material, stainless steel under-counter basins are sturdy, durable, corrosion-resistant, affordable, and have a smooth surface that is easy to clean. Ceramic under-counter basins are aesthetically pleasing and have a delicate texture but are relatively heavy, requiring attention to support and fixation during installation.
- Selection of Compatible Countertops: Quartz countertops are hard, wear-resistant, stain-resistant, stable, and come in a variety of colors and textures, allowing them to match under-counter basins of different materials and styles. Granite countertops are extremely hard, pressure-resistant, and have unique and beautiful natural textures, but they are more expensive and require regular maintenance. When selecting countertop materials, consider their compatibility with the material of the under-counter basin.
Installation Process
- Countertop Slotting: Cut slots around the countertop to align the edge of the sink with the countertop.
- Fixation Method: Fix the edges well with marble adhesive and clips. Be sure to use specialized hardware for secondary reinforcement to reduce the risk of detachment during later use. For mobile toilets, secondary reinforcement is particularly important.
- Embedding Precision: The pre-cut holes in the countertop and the reserved space in the cabinet should fit snugly. It is recommended to repeatedly calibrate using the original manufacturer's template, paying special attention to the avoidance relationship between the center of the drain and the columns inside the cabinet.
- Support Structure: It is essential to use dedicated metal brackets or adjustable support feet to evenly distribute the weight of the basin onto rigid support points. The adhesive only serves as a sealant, not as the main load-bearing component.
- Drainage Component Matching: Before installation, be sure to check the overall height of the drainage system against the net height of the cabinet floor, leaving sufficient adjustment allowance to avoid having to saw the cabinet body for rework.
- Caulking Process: Apply silicone sealant continuously, evenly, and fully along the bottom edge of the basin. Wait for the adhesive to fully cure (usually 24 hours, and even longer in humid environments or at low temperatures) before conducting a water test.
Other Considerations
Purchase the sink in advance and have it processed by the merchant for easy one-time installation later. The cabinet countertop should protrude inward by about half a centimeter from the sink. Choose a faucet style that is positioned outside. Prepare appropriate tools, such as a laser positioning instrument with a level, a set of anti-slip rubber pads, and several long-handle hex wrenches.
